So, the cashier said I had to use another card. I didn't know that was legal and I asked who was the POS vendor and of course she didn't know and she nervously laughed. Now all of a sudden her asian accept thickens and immediately she can barely understand me and gives me that laugh again. I hate this and it is a trigger for me. So, I reach for another card and continued on with who the vendor was and could I see a manager, but he was less the 4 ft away and heard the whole exchange but did not intervene until the cashier pointed to him and he saw it. Hesitantly, he walked towards me and it was as though he was having a problem understanding me too. He did give me the name of the vendor, ValorPaytech. I didn't recognize the name. I leave the store and get back in my truck and turn off my credit card and call my credit card company and explained the scenario and had them send me a replacement card. You want to take my money but as soon as there is a conflict, now you can't comprehend my language. I contacted ValorPaytech and their response was: With Non-Chipped cards, we have the magnetic strip reader on the side of all of our terminals. I did file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General.

I know it's the holidays but this seems like a normal Sunday to them. Starting from getting my basket outside to get it in the store and seeing a barbecue restaurant in the store. A car wash on the property with a gas station on the property. This is an all-in-one grocery store food chain. I see it's very popular here in Texas and this is my first time truly experiencing the H-E-B moment. Really some of the highlights is they have a lot of people checking you out. It's actually real people, they have baggers that bag your grocery up. They will help escort you to your vehicle. This is old school customer service type grocery store and the prices are just the same as anywhere else if not a better deal. I definitely understand why my sister, friends and family have all talked so good about this store and I am proud to see them in the DFW area growing tremendously. Please keep up the good work. With the prices increasing, I've started to spread my wings and look at other places for my weekly shopping. I visit Walmart, Aldi, and now H-E-B. Like gas, many of us are now shopping where we can find the best deals, even if that means splitting up our shopping lists. I don't know if with this store, you can pay for a membership that will waive delivery fees; if so, I may do that when the store in Euless opens. Since COVID, I've been glued to delivery. Some stores I will visit (Aldi, Central Market, H-E-B, etc.), but I'm mostly a delivery gal. I took a chance and ordered strawberries, and it was a chance worth making. They are delicious and were chosen well. Placing my order online was very easy, and even with my delivery being done in the evening, they still had everything in stock. If I may add, I did get one of their famous iced croissants, and it was worth the hype. I love H-E-B!

Went in today to buy a few things, paid with a credit card, and then they demanded to write my DL#…read moreon the store receipt. To me that is a security and privacy violation for my person. They had me on security cameras making the purchase, my credit card company okayed the purchase and the clerk actually looked at my DL to, in my first impression, verify it was me in facial recognition and credit card name recognition. Why do they feel the need to copy down my DL#, too. Needless to say, I voided the transaction and left without my prospective purchases.
