Michael was a Godsend. We had some unexpected work done on a Saturday that resulted in a massive amount of greenery that completely covered our front yard. I called Michael at 3:30pm on a Saturday. He was there by 5:30pm and by 7:30pm was gone (and left the place cleaner than we normally do ). Great service! read more

I got this referral for La junk haul.com from a nieghbor, I called today to request a quote, they came within 3 hours, picked up a truck load of construction debris, cleaned up, and left! they were polite, thorough and clean. Thank you for the quick response, well done job, and the fair price! read more

Let me set the scene: a couple of veteran elementary teachers with 5 years' worth of home construction leftovers, growing-kids debris, old furniture, e-waste, old bikes and the list goes on. At long last, I dig past the sponsored results on Yelp, and (calling the number from the website) I have a friendly and informative chat with Michael. Just like that, he's at the house Sunday morning right on time! At first I was surprised he was on his own, but this guy can work. I don't think saw him break a sweat! It was fascinating to see the meticulous way he loaded the truck. He's clearly an experienced pro who's able to really anticipate and fairly price the load. I'm the opposite of that and after chatting on the phone and in person - it was easy to put my trust in Michael and La Junk Haul for this crazy job. He said most of his clients get extra inspired and have him haul more than they thought. That was definitely true for us! I can't completely articulate how nice it is to have all that old stinky stuff gone. La Junk haul is insured and is anti-dumping/pro-ethical disposal. If you have materials that can disposed of at a lower cost than La Junk Haul, Michael will let you know! We have more construction coming up and a storage shed to tackle. It's so nice to know that I won't be putting it off for another 5 years. I told Michael we'll be seeing him soon for those other jobs. Thanks to Michael of La Junk Haul, a courteous professional who freed us from a seemingly unmanageable pile! read more

Would give 10 stars if I could! We had a mountain of large, heavy duty cardboard from a delivery that we needed hauled away asap and I'm so glad I found Michael's service. I reached out to him on a Friday morning and he was at my door before noon! He was so great to work with and even better to chat with! Super friendly, kind and professional. Will definitely contact him again for future hauls. Thank you again Michael! read more

I was amazed at the speed this man works and how he got the job done! he wanted to do more but I had to stop him as I am going to remove all the floors and replace them. and thanks to Michael's Hard work I can proceed with My project. Just had a great experience working with Michael/LA Junk Haul. I called Michael and the next evening he came to my home and started work. He very quickly cleaned the junk/debris out of my garage, which included an old desk, shelves, and many wood pieces left behind by a previous owner. He was quick and thorough. There are many options for junk hauling, but I chose LA Junk Haul because of Michael's positive and trustworthy nature. No regrets. I will definitely call him when I start my next project. read more

All hail the king of haul!!!! UPDATE: I've called Michael like 4 times for haul jobs now... he never disappoints. Recommend to everyone! Michael has got to be one of the smartest guys in the business; he answered my call with genuine friendliness, gave me very clear and simple instructions for having my junk ready for hauling and thoroughly answered all of my questions. After getting quotes from four other hauling companies he had the fairest price, promptest responses and got the job done with efficiency. He showed up a few minutes early thanks to no traffic and gave a very fair estimate for the amount of work that it was. He was done loading in less than 2 hours from the time he arrived. Great experience hiring LA Junk Haul. Spoke to Michael on the phone and he came out same day to see me. Arrived exactly when he said he would. Ran through pricing and the process, and then looked at what I had to haul away. Did the work very quickly, cleaned up after. Professional, friendly and respectful of time and property. Happy I called and will be recommending to friends and neighbors. read more

I dug a hole and discovered there's no easy way to trash the dirt--the green cans aren't for earth, apparently, and we're limited on how much we can throw away in the black cans. At that rate, it would take me a year to throw away my dirt, and I needed the space for garbage! I checked around and wasn't having any luck, as it seems most companies charge a minimum of 2 tons, and I had a lot less than that. Called Michael at LAJunkhaul and he came over despite him knowing it would be an uphill battle to win my business. As it turned out, it wouldn't be cost-beneficial for him to haul my dirt, but Michael was friendly and helpful, and he loves dogs too so if you have any, he'll be happy to accept a kiss (from the dog, not you). He suggested I scatter the dirt in my yard, so my wife and I got creative and filled the dirt where we needed to plant some stuff and, lo and behold, we emptied three cans in a matter of hours. So no dinero for Michael, but if I need some help with junk, he's won my business. Wish it was that easy for everything, eh? read more

Michael is an awesome guy! We gave him very little notice, he showed up in less than an hour and hauled some furniture out of our storage unit in no time. It was some heavy stuff and hotter than blue blazes out too. He asked our opinion on the pricing estimate and was willing to negotiate. I will definitely call him again if we ever need help getting rid of anything else. Thank you for reading my review! :-) read more

Say you hypothetically decided to DIY your backyard and hypothetically got way in over your head on waste disposal. I'm talking "sneaking to use your neighbor's bins after they've set them out" for weeks on end over your head. While this didn't happen to me, it did happen to a friend and I gotta say, these guys are as good as advertised! We, I mean my friend, called them around noon and they set up an appt. for 4pm the same day. They showed up early, quoted us, err uh them, did the work, and were done by 6pm all in one day! The guys who came to do the work were fast, friendly, and efficient. They were very careful to make sure they didn't hit anything, and cleaned up immaculately. Added bonus- they were USC fans! Wow!!! Just got done helping some friends move out of their house. They didn't know what they were going to do with all the random old items they didn't want anymore. We called Mike Cheeks Hauling and he came over that same day to save the day. Some of the furniture that they should of got rid of a long time ago, misc items that they were not sure if they should keep or move with them and everything else that was basically "trash". Mike is a fun guy to be around, smiling the entire time except when he had to pick up and old heavy statue by himself. Out and in, same day and a cash discount. Definitely recommend and will use again. #GreatJob read more

Removed all the items in my back yard, we had a dismantled shed/detached room that was 50 %demo he came out completed the demo, removed everything and even swept up after. Definitely going to use him again read more

This guy is awesome. He's like a modern-day John Henry of junk hauling. My boss is renovating a new home that they're turning into a rental and had issues twice with contractors not hauling away what they were supposed to. The first time it was just dirt that was left in the alley to be hauled away the next day. I would have left it, but the home is part of an HOA, so even though there was plenty of room for cars to pass they would have been upset. I called around to a bunch of places and Mike was the only one who could come out that day. He did all the work himself and in a timely manner. And he's super friendly! The second time was today. It was a long-ass day and there was a huge-ass pile of stuff that one contractor just kept building upon the last two weeks instead of hauling it away little by little. And he never planned on hauling it himself. Oy! Again, Mike was there to save the day. He responded to my text right away and was able to get out to the house in just 2 hours. I will post pictures because I cannot adequately emphasize with words how large the pile was and it's all gone now! He would have kept sweeping to get everything out between the cement squares in the front yard, but the gardener is coming Tuesday so I told him not to worry about it because it would get cleaned up anyway. I can't comment much on the price since I needed him last minute and didn't get any other quotes and both times I had really heavy loads, but I can say it was definitely worth it for the fast, efficient, and very friendly service!! Thanks, Mike!! read more

The list of haulers on yelp is quite long. Let me save you the time searching for the right company and tell you - Cheek's is the best out there.
