After a child tragically…read morelost his life following bullying at this school, it is extremely disturbing to hear that fights and bullying continue to happen both inside and outside of school. Suspending students who repeatedly engage in serious bullying or physical fights does not seem like enough when the safety of other children is at risk. There needs to be stronger accountability and meaningful consequences for students who continue to put other students in danger. This is not simply about discipline or losing a school day. We are talking about the safety and lives of children. One child has already lost his life, and that should have been a wake-up call for everyone responsible for protecting these students. Parents should not have to wonder whether their children are going to be safe when they send them to school. I sincerely hope the school administration takes these concerns seriously, investigates repeated incidents thoroughly, and takes stronger action to prevent another tragedy. Children's safety should always come before enrollment numbers, money, or anything else. No student should have to be afraid to go to school.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. My daughter has attended two public schools which she did not like and seemed afraid every time I dropped her off. Since going to VCA, I have seen a tremendous difference in my daughter's attitude towards school. She loves going to school! Even when I pick her up she wants to stay. Her teachers Mrs. Justiniani and Ms. Cedano are godsends. They are very patient, understanding and helpful when it comes to my daughter's learning. My daughter definitely loves her teachers and always talks about them. I couldn't be happier, not only does Mrs. Justiniani and Ms. Cedano make my daughter feel safe and secure, but me and my husband know without a doubt that our child is in a safe and loving learning environment. Me and my husband couldn't be happier! I love this school and trust the staff, especially her teachers with my child. When I drop her off in the mornings, I always leave knowing that she is in good hands. The Granillo family.

The academics was amazing and due to the Love and life of Jesus taught to them... They truly " hid the Word in their hearts" as the bible tells us to. Honestly I could go on and on, but, I wanted to really wanted to share this: my grandson is 3 1/2 yes old. We weren't sure how he was gonna do in school.Because he is a bit rambunctious... Very much an active boy... But he is absolutely loving, loving loving it!! As a grandma.. I asked my son... So when did what do you have to say about his teachers... Is he enjoying it them?Or what did he have to say about them.... my son replied to me, " i asked him if he liked his teachers and he said, NO! ..... I LOVE THEM! " this is a true story, and this just happened the other day....I Busted out laughing with a big smile on my face and heart and literally got goosebumps... This school is a school where all the staff smile a lot. They work together very well for the good of the students. I feel that the staff has tried very hard to address the special needs of my grandson. I have high regard for the principal, Mr. Garcia, and for the teachers who have worked with my grandson. They are fine educators. We feel very fortunate to have had a staff like this working with our grandson.

My son was abused by one of the teachers here he was grabbed by the neck and then shoved. He ran straight out of the class to the principal's office he was seen by the nurse. And put ice packs on the red mark on his neck. This happened at approximately 10 a.m. He was then forced to spend the rest of the day in the same classroom I never got a phone call home I didn't find out what happened until he came home from school around 430 from the after school program and he told me what happened I went immediately down to the school and Mr Jones stood up for the teacher!!!! I then went to the police department they refuse to write a police report or do anything because there was no mark on my son an he didnt have to go to hospital! !!! Of course the mark wasn't still there because this happened in the morning if you care about your kids keep them away from here the only good thing about this school is the amazing staff at the after school program.

I really like that aspect but I feel the app has so much more potential perhaps with time they will use it more. The center has also recently done sone remodeling like updating the flooring. My son I can tell likes his teachers a lot and they seem like they genuinely care about him and all the other children. I really like that they share pictures of some of the activities they do with the kids. I look forward to those pictures and getting the Picasso art pieces. I'd recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a safe, caring and learning environment for their kids.

My son was being bullied and the teacher didn't do nothing about it. she didn't even let me know, I had to bring up to her attention, once I did that "now she was concerned about my son education "!! My son went to school here from 2nd-5th grade. He had moved over from a different district and the…read moretransition was hard at first. Avalon is HEAVY on the electronics. Everything is done via their school computer, including daily homework. This was an adjustment at first but once he got accustomed it was not an issue. Towards 5th grade, they actually started assigning some homework and assignment via hard copies. The atmosphere is great! Lots of extracurricular activities that kids can be a part of such as sports, band, cheerleading, etc. The school also puts out several school events throughout the year. Too many of you ask me but the kids enjoy them. My son never experienced any negativity at this school however I will say that there are some teachers in which he excelled with. Mr. Solorio was his favorite teacher and with good reason. He really cares about his students and ensures that all his students excel academically and socially. He goes out of his way to make sure that students feel proud of themselves and accomplished. All schools need a Mr.Solorio!! Only downside for us was the drop off/pick up line. No matter how many times they tell drivers not to park and get out of their vehicles, they never listen which cause the lines to get backed up. You're better off parking and walking to get your child.
