The view and the atmosphere is great. However, the food quality is very unimpressive, to the extent that it's almost below mediocre. All the dishes are bland and lack of texture and layers. The main dish is a sea bass, which is very bland and stiff, almost not feeling fresh. The sauce also feels cheap. This is the first time I had a meal at a Michelin star restaurant in Paris, and I'm quite disappointed. The service is great, but the decor is quite outdated, all those are minor comparing to the mediocre food quality.

Worth a stop by if you are visiting Paris. Great food, service, and the history behind it.

The best place during this trip to Paris. This is a historical place, nestled in a forest, it used to be a hunting lodge for the kings of France. Lots of history here. You feel like you are in a palace as soon as you walk in. the crystal chandeliers, rich plush chairs and beautiful decorations make you feel like a queen or king. The staff is very nice so you really feel like royalty. The menu offers three degustation manus, one of them is vegetarian. I would recommend getting the wine paired with the menu you pick. It will be pricey but it is an amazing experience for your pallet. Every dish was prepared with extreme care and you tasted the star of the dish, perfectly seasoned and very fresh. The do offer a very nice bread made with croissant type dough, just don't fill up on that because there are a lot of dishes served so you need to enjoy every dish. With dessert we got a nice old port that was delicious. An amazing experience that you have to try at least once in a lifetime.

View and atmosphere is great however the food left a little bit to be desired. Extensive wine list.

It is very unique, and it was and still is, ahead of it's time, mostly due to the awesome staff who works there. I discovered this phenomenal joint thanks to my oldest friend Jerome, who took me there on a nice evening, this being years ago and the second I walked in I was hooked. It was and still is to this day one of my favorite places to go out to for a drink and to talk to friends. Unfortunately I've moved out of the country years ago but my parents still live in that city and I make sure to swing by there on every trip back - alone or with friends. The staff is really friendly and sometimes recognizes me (although it has almost been a year a half now so I'm not sure they remember me at this point) and last time they even bought me a few rounds while grilling me about life in Boston. The place isn't too big, but big enough and features both tables and some nice couches - they serve beers, all kinds of awesome mixed drinks and tapas style food which is also very good. The staff is extremely friendly, prompt and the prices are competitive. There is absolutely nothing negative in this place that I can think about - no matter how hard I try, except maybe for the fact that it is exactly 3,434 miles away from me right now... Looking forward to returning there for a drink on my next visit home. I highly recommend it! And it's just a couple of minutes away from the Marcel Sembat subway station on line 9! Oh and did I mention that they have a giant screen which projects all kinds of stuff from soccer games to snowboarding, the Olympics or video games during the many events that they organize? There's always something happening - it's a ton of fun!
