Adjacent to it is a branch of Nando's that will be opening very soon too. Inside the restaurant is full of colour, and the fittings remind you of summer days. On the night we visited the restaurant was packed, with a range of families, couples and young people; the seating was varied from large tables for family groups, and booth type seating around the sides. We had booked a table that morning, and I'm glad we had, I don't think we would have got a table otherwise. Shown to our booth type table, and quickly served drinks, it was a promising start. One downside though was the music, pleasant enough, with songs from the likes of Andy Williams, but it was just too loud, so much so that my wife and I even though we were no more than four feet away from each other, across a table, had to virtually shout so we could have a conversation!
Enough of the negative and on to the food, a good variety on the menu, from pizza to pasta, as well as fish and chicken dishes. My wife opted for a bowl of penne pasta with chicken and bacon, with lemon seasoning, a large serving, but fairly bland. I opted for filled pasta, with four cheeses, with a basil dressing, that's not what arrived, which was chicken and pasta in creamy sauce, very tasty, but not quite what I had in mind. The accompanying fried courgettes were lovely though, but on the whole a meal of hits and misses. The service was great, and the restaurant certainly had an atmosphere; would I return? Maybe after six months.
