We were looking for a restaurant that the locals frequented and were happy to find La Gioia. When we arrived, there were only a few locals chatting in French. The menu was all inFrench as well, but Google Translate worked well to figure out what to order.
I ordered the calzone with ham and mushrooms and was surprised how large it turned out to be! While I was concerned at first, my fears were assuaged when I tasted it. Delicious. I got to the middle of the calzone and discovered an over easy egg had been put in it as well. I don't think it really added anything to the overall success of the meal. I used the crust around the edges to clean up the insides that spilled out during the eating.
All in all, everyone was very pleased with the meals they ordered. read more
