The restaurant was quasi empty at the time but because it was a Saturday night, he complained that he had to redo all of his planning... warning: they do not post on the wine menu that you can buy wine by the glass. After much debate with our friends as we each wanted different wines, we settled for two half bottles. One, the wine was horrible! It tasted like vinegar. Absolutely appalling! And we had to pay for it. We won't be back!

My relatives in France brought me to this place and hyped it up very much so I walked in with high expectations. And it did not disapoint. We were a table of 5, and we all opted for what I believe was the table d'hote, with 4 courses. This place is known for its delicious foie gras, and I do not exagerate. Entree consisted of various choices and I settled for a plate of foie gras while my brother had a plate of salmon with foie gras. Main course was lamb chops (perfectly cooked) and plate of beef. Then we had assorted cheeses (with many options). Then, last but not least, dessert. By then, we were already full, but dessert is dessert. I had the mille-feuille, which was also perfect. From this taste of authentic french cuisine, I can say that I left the country satisfied. Definitely one of the best meals I had in Europe. If your budget allows it (since it is quite expensive), it is worth a try, to get a taste of what French can cook!

Our favorite spot in Paris so far!…read more This intimate restaurant is packed with charm, good food, wine, and yes, people. Not another foreigner to be found, definitely worth getting away from the tourist traps on the Champs Elysées. A lively and lovely atmosphere all around, and we adored every minute of it. Incredible price for the quality, perfect quantity for our group, and by far the friendliest and most personable service we've found in this country so far. Our server's English was good, and he did a wonderful job addressing our varying French levels. We ordered housemade foie gras (5/5, the best our table has ever had), terrine (4/5), cappuccino (5/5, actually a rich chestnut soup with white truffle foam), ravioles (5/5, best pasta dish I've had in ages), linguine with shrimp (4/5, good but a little plain), cheesecake with salted caramel (4.5/5), croustillant (4.5/5), and Mont Blanc (4.5/5). Overall we felt that the savory courses were stronger than the sweets, but they are still worth checking out. The wine list was solid, we ended up splitting a bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé that complemented each stage of the meal surprisingly well. Our wonderful server even gave us free chartreuse as a digestif! So glad I booked this on La Fourchette (French version of Yelp, highly recommended), because some of the ratings here would have deterred me. Can't wait to come back! I mean, I really can't wait. I might have to make time for this tomorrow, it would be a great last meal in Paris!
