The pita is cooked on demand which makes it warm and crispy. Great for a quick, not too expensive meal.

First time having Tunis food and it was spectacular. We ordered chicken tagine, seafood couscous,…read morechicken skewer, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and lamp soup and everything was delicious. The food came out in the lovely traditional clay pots that got us all excited. My tagine chicken was well marinated and came with chickpea over couscous with saffron sauce that has prune, candied orange, olive, pickled lemon which makes the flavor so unique than other Mediterranean food I had in the past. The dishes came with choice of dessert and mint tea as well so it was such a good deal. Out waiter was polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place and plan to revisit if we are in town again

Not only which cuisine to choose from but where to go out of the touristy area as there are many neighborhoods. We were quite pleased with our selection at Bistro la Goulette. The walk took longer than anticipated from the funicular but we ventured through sections of the city viewing night sites such as Fontaine de Tourny. The menu was filled with salads, typical falafel platters & other main dish with lamb, fish & vegetarian. The decor is lovely & staff so attentive & friendly. The delicious meal was topped off with hot mint tea & sweet baklava. Visit for lunch or dinner in this attractive neighborhood of Quartier Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

However the owner was very nice and it was clean seemed clean and there were some nice halloween decorations! You could tell some thought was put into the resto. Speaking with the proprietor he was courteous asked me what I would like. I chose the mixed plate and I asked if I could add a few falafel balls on and he said of course! He asked if he could charge me $2 for 2 falafel balls. Also was I decided on some Baklava for dessert. The mixed plate was fresh, a good mix of rice, meat and vegetables. With it I had a tiny bit of garlic sauce and also some hummus. The falafel balls were delicious! A tad crunchy and very vibrant with excellent falafel ball spice. The baklava to end it off was nice and crunchy, soft and chewy at the same time with a nice honey flavour! I'd rather give my money to a guy like this who you can tell is making his best effort to make a living than a big corporation! Food was different than Montreal Lebanese but good none the less! Overall I'd say it was a 3.5/5 but the friendly nature bumps it up to a 4 for me!

We sampled a bunch of different menu items. The classic beef tartare, one of the listed favourites,…read morecan be divisive and not for everyone. Personally, it was a treat for me trying out something different, but I do not think everyone would appreciate its almost raw meat and liver-like texture. The Tartare comes with fries, a salad, and crouton to round up the order. We upgraded the side of fries that came with the Tartare into their Tout Cochon poutine. I was happy with that option that way I was able to sample their house poutine without needing to dedicate a full meal order for it. I can say this was among the best poutines I have had. The gravy was rich and flavourful. The poutine was also loaded with a variety of different proteins like the Gaspor farm ham and the bacon-wrapped sausage. The perron cheese curds also perfectly topped off the whole dish. Our last order was the Quebec pork chop marinated and grilled with maple and tamari. It was served with apple chutney, sweet potato mash, and seasonal vegetables. It is exactly as you would expect with the ingredient details of the dish's name. You get a lot of different flavour profiles and textures with the meal order. Some saltiness with the pork chop then some sweetness with the apple chutney. Meaty tenderness with the pork chop, mushiness with the potato mash, and then some slightly crunchiness with the seasonal vegetables. We dined on Sunday lunchtime the day before Family Day. There were people waiting to be seated by the time we arrived, but fortunately our group of only 2 people has a table spot available so did not need to wait. We were led down flights of stairs to the lower floor which was level with the street below. The whole place with its classic walls and decor exudes with classic charm.
