Bustling grocery store with lines outside or inside to pay, which is nice because it's popular! Weigh your nuts and grains and veggies/fruit. There was a lady giving samples of fresh hummus and something else. I asked about salsa fresca (though I saw some nice looking jarred salsas). She suggested making it myself with a handful of ingredients found at the store. I did, and it was fantastic. Around the store and outside, there were also festive decorations that would be fun to get, if you're so inclined. I like grocery stores, especially when they are unique to their neighborhood. DAC fulfills the promise of a fun time shopping for things you need and maybe also for things you want.

Good selection of fruits and vegetables - we love the guavas, mangos, and carrots the most! They taste so fresh and more flavorful than what we get in the US. Decent selection of meat, dairy, snacks, cereal, etc too! They have a bakery (with fresh tortillas), pharmacy, a touristy area (bathing suits, shirts, souvenirs, etc), and an area that has prepped food items. They also have a decent alcohol/beer area. Prices are way better than what they charge at the hotel (though you're likely paying for convenience there). Highly recommend this treat to pick up items!
