Ham & cheese croissant

Great spot for a quick, tasty breakfast. The almond croissant and ham & cheese croissant were delicious. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when I placed my order, which I really appreciated since I was by myself and my Spanish isn't that great.

Presumably owned by French ex-pats, at least judging by accents, La Fournée occupies a space along Avenida Tulum and serves a concise menu of Breakfasts, Sandwiches, Bread and Coffee. Open from 7am Sunday through Friday, with a patio in back proving popular in the shade, it is at prices ranging 35-50 pesos that guests are invited to indulge in Pastry, though early Friday found little to love amongst a poorly laminated Croissant or flaccid Rolls, the lone saving grace a decidedly "un-French" buttery Banana Cake.

Stumbled upon this place in my search to find breakfast and kill time waiting on the bus back to Cancun. Cute place, relaxed and friendly service. I got their Frappe and chocolate croissant with coco and it was absolutely amazing for breakfast snack! I wish I could have only tried all their pastries. I also got the ham and cheese crepe, which unfortunately was a bit underwhelming. Other than that would highly recommend. They also have plenty of seating, outlets and WiFi.

The goods look wonderful compared to near by bakeries. The texture and taste of my snail pastry was almost there. Keep it up!

This was a complete vibe. This was one of the stops on our breakfast tour of Tulum (unofficial tour…read morelol - we just tried a lot of breakfast places) We sat outside on these beautiful tables and ordered a bunch of food that we all tried. I had a croque madame as well as this french toast with strawberries. It was delicious (I didn't love the croque madame, but I think it was made well). We also got a wide variety of drinks which I recall being absolutely delicious. As always in Tulum, the service was fantastic, enriching our overall experience. If you stay in Tulum and not on a resort, I recommend swinging over to this spot to try the delicious food for brunch!

I will admit though, my American palate is accustomed to food heavy-handed with salt and sugar and this was the first place we tried off the resort. There is no denying how fresh everything was! If you're in Tulum, I do think it's worth stopping by and checking out this place. If for nothing else, the ambience and the service. They are some of the nicest people we met in Mexico and everything presented was beautiful. I mean look at the art work for that french toast! Yes, that's french toast under that beautiful strawberry design. The mushroom quiche was good, but needed a little more flavor including salt. Like I said, probably just my taste buds. The coffee fell a little flat for me. I ordered an iced latte. My husband had a flat white and liked his for the most part. I love that they have live musicians stop by - there was a flute player and a guitar player in the short hour we were there and both were so good. Overall, the place has a cute vibe and is a great spot to chill and have some food and coffee.
