When I visited they had a great live free-style hip-hop, show put on by two guys from Berlin. The show was top-notch, the sound great, and the crowd was well mixed and hopping. Strange to be at a live hip-hop show and not a brother there to representing the black man, but whatever. Since there was a live show, there was a 14 CHF cover which I though was worth every cent. Drink prices where also quite reasonable, costing 6ish CHF for mixed drinks and wine. The people working there where very laid back and friendly. Worth noting here is when you order vodka, they will not understand you unless you pronounce it vood-ka, but maybe they where just giving the foreigner some shit. :) The location is stumbling distance from the Hardbrüke station, nice to know when it is pissing rain. Over all I highly recommend Helsinki as a drinking and live music venue.

One enters through the rather spacious bar area which was, for a Saturday night, rather dead. One can't access the bar during show times without also being a guest at the show. -too bad as a tad more people there would have livened the joint up a bit. Having said that, I can't complain about not really having to wait at the bar long before ordering a drink. Apropos drinks: I ordered one beer the whole night, and, thanks to some uber-efficient staff member, was only able to drink about half of it before it disappeared from its perch next to me. -guess I should have chained the darn bottle to my wrist. After reading TN's review I now know that toilets are on another floor at the opposite end of the joint and I am glad I never had to go on the hunt for them.
