We were informed when we made the appointment that only one person can come in at a time. That you must wear a mask to go inside. We had an appointment for 2:30. We arrived at 2:20. They had us wait in the car, and when the stylist was ready the lady at the door waved my 14 yo. inside. In 18 minutes he came out. He looked AmAZInG! "Mom," he said. "This is the first haircut I've ever had that didn't leave tons of hair on my neck and down my shirt. We will not go anywhere but here again. What a GREAT experience. For me the place is 5 stars because it costs me $5.00 to get my haircut the place is fairly clean considering the amount of people that go through there. Everyone speaks Spanish which is alright makes me feel like I'm on vacation. The staff has always been nice and I'm in and out. read more

I was recently in this plaza to try out a restaurant, so I saw all of the signs for a $5 haircut for men and boys. I really can't argue with $5, and I needed a haircut, so I went today. It's a Mexican-run establishment, and a Mexican-heavy clientele. They do speak English, thankfully. I was able to be seated right away, since they apparently have a lot of hairdressers. They also boast about having several locations, so good for them. Haircut went pretty quickly. I've probably had worse in the Vegas area. I definitely overheard my hairdresser asking another how to taper the hair as I requested around the back of my neck, but she ended up doing fine. And after I showered off at home and ran my hands through my hair a couple times, I didn't find any issues. I expected to pay sales tax, but nope. Five bucks. Gave a $1 tip and got out of there feeling a bit lighter, in a good way. If it was just a little bit closer to where I live, I'd go again with no questions asked. read more

I got my daughters haircut tonight and how do I regret it! It was her first time and I have been crying because how pissed I am. The Cuban lady did her hair and she 1. Did not wet her hair and 2. Didn't even part the hair - she just started snipping away and I was so anxious because I had a gut feeling it was going to be bad. It looked OKAY when we left but when we got home I noticed it was uneven and poorly done. The place was ghetto, not even clean and I STILL went ahead and gave it a chance, more of a reason why I been so pissed with myself that I would even go here. Plus a $1 cleaning fee? Pure ridiculousness- I would appreciate my money back and for people who do something for a living to do it right. I'll be going to another salon that will fix her hair! It says five dollars haircuts men women on door plus $.99 for each customer went for a haircut now they charge $13 plus the tip that makes sense it was a basic haircut that took all of less than 15 minutes, either the employees are scamming the customers and owner or it is plain out false advertisement? You can go to the barber next-door and it would be cheaper not understanding what their scam is they should have the correct prices everywhere I think I will report it to the cosmetology board so they can check and make sure that this is a legitimate place!!!!!!!!! Home of the $5 haircut. This one is located on Desert Inn and Pecos. There is another on the westside that I have reviewed before, on Rainbow. I get a no frills haircut. I don't require a fade or anything fancy. Just a #1, #2, or #3 all over, depending on the season. So a $5 haircut is perfect for me because I get the same cut if it costs me $25. At the low cost I'm able to tip my customary $5 and everyone is happy. The ladies here have always been friendly, and today I noticed a couple guys giving haircuts. Its mostly a family shop, lots of kids come here to get cuts. They do a nice thorough job on the edges, and because I'm old, they occasionally trim the excess ear hair!!! So I went in earlier to work with Jojo, and I got to say that for a $10 cut she gives you, honestly I could have done better myself, she went thru and did my cut at a good level, but when it came to lining up, she was horrendous! The place for $5 haircuts. Be cautious of the wait time and this place gets packed. But for $5 it might be worth it. There are whole families here and a lot of kids. It's mostly a Mexican establishment with Mexican customer base but will serve anyone. I tried to get a haircut but didn't want to wait so long and it was packed like sardines in there with loud children. I just got out of there. The reason for the high rating is because of the price. Besides that i saw the haircuts were average and you get what you pay for. It's straightforward and nothing too fancy. If you need a cheap cut, come here. A few days ago I was in need of a hair cut due to split ends. So I walked into this hair salon. My brother has been here before to get haircuts for him and his son,and he told me it was good for guys so I should see if they were good with woman too. I usually go to my personal hair stylist but she was out of town. Anyways I walked in and actually got seated fast because they have many hair stylist. When I walked in they were a rude but I let it go. I believe the guy that started doing my hair was George I'm not so sure. He started picking at my hair and said I had lice and he could not attend me. Obviously I freaked out and so I went to the dermatologist. At the dermatologist they checked and did not find anything. Never again would I go here nor would I recommend this place for any ladies. read more
