Our Hotel recommend eating at this Argentine Steak Restaurant, at least I think it was this one. When we got to the street that the hotel said to go to, there were a couple of different Argentine Steak Restaurants to choose from. I picked this one because I liked their logo, and the menu looked good.
They advertise 25 more tables upstairs, but it wasn't necessary for us to climb up the stairs, as there was only one other table with customers. Now that I think about it, why would you need to advertise that?
We had our choice of tables when we walked in, and chose one by the door. The waiter was nice enough, and very attentive, maybe too much. He seemed high on something, so jittery, and very talkative.
After we ordered, he asked us if he could prop the door open. I said "It's cold outside". He said "How about until your food get's here". So he propped the door open, and then proceeded to light incense, and placed the incense right by the door so that sickening smell came right into the restaurant. No wonder people weren't coming inside to eat, no one wants to have incense smoke wafting around their grilled steak!
The food was just ok. The soup was the best part of the meal. The salad was underwhelming, my steak was ok, dessert was ice cream with whipped cream, I'm not a fan of ice cream, especially with whip cream on it, and the cappuccino was awful.
If I knew then, what I know now, I would have chosen a different steak restaurant. The stylized pictures on the website, and yelp must have been taken by a food stylist. If you want a good representation of how the food really is you can see the pictures (very few) from real patrons of this restaurant. The real food looks nothing like the pictures posted from the owner. read more
