They were good, but just a tad too sweet. The consistency was good though. There was ample seating in the two story parlor, but it was a bit warm as if the air conditioning was having trouble keeping up. There were also TV screens playing the local news so it made for some fascinating watching. This place also had restrooms, which was a welcome sight after walking Palermo SoHo all afternoon. Tudor was a solid 4 star experience, but less sugar would help the flavors come through a little more. The restaurant itself was pretty nice too- great atmosphere albeit a little warm.

Smeterling's beats them all to a pulp. The individual cake portions are so immaculately prepared you won't want to touch it. The flavors are just velvety smooth in your mouth and the staff are very welcoming! We even got free macarons from the baker who just popped the shells out of the oven - right in front of you. I would fly 20hrs to Buenos Aires again in a heartbeat for Smeterling's.

Eating pumpkin ice cream should be Number Two. 85% Chocolate should be Number Three. Okay, never mind ranking the flavors. Just buy a ticket for a three month stay in Buenos Aires and eat everything Alchemy has got. * * * Alchemy is widely considered to be one of the best ice cream parlors in Buenos Aires. The reputation is fully deserved. The ice cream menu is presented on the wall as a sheet metal table of the elements. They light up the flavors they have on a given day. The table of the elements is hard to forget. About eight of the elements are fully alcoholic. They are based on Argentine cocktails such as Fernet and Cola or Gin and Tonic. I was too busy eating the other exotic flavors ... but vermouth and orange ice cream sounds just fine to me. * * * We have been eating here a lot. Why shouldn't your days end being happy?
