The cafe was pretty crowded with people working on laptops and miscellaneous other projects, and of course lots of kids around. There weren't as many chairs as there were tables, probably because they were moved around by the bigger groups already there. For the size of the space they could definitely use more tables and chairs. There were a couple of waiters running around between tables but service was so slow (read, nonexistent for us) that after waiting about 15 minutes we just went to the counter and ordered our tea. The chai was delicious - nicely spiced with cinnamon on top. It's a good spot to spend unlimited time working on wi-fi but not sure I would stop in just to eat.

The service is on the slower side (we were served the last of our drinks as we were paying...yikes), and the pastries LOOK good but are a bit on the drier side. I really enjoyed their chai latte, but wasn't the biggest fan of the banana bread. When I came in for brunch recently with friends, they were out of over half the brunch menu. I went with the brioche sandwich which sounded good in hindsight but was a lottttt of different flavor profiles that didn't quite go together. If you come here, stick with what they're known for. One day, I'm gonna come back and try the ice cream sandwiches. I'm sure I'll be impressed!

Contrary to other reviews here, my coffee was perfectly made and balanced nicely between sweet and bitter. It was a bit of a coffee cocktail with syrups and homemade whipped cream. Delicious. The cake I had was amazing. It was a chocolate cake I saw in the fridge window and I knew I had to have it. Fudgy, yet light. Chocolatey, yet breezy. It was the perfect complement to a slightly bitter coffee. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and the waiter spook decent English. Match that with a perfect ambience (a calm garden with the occasional quack of ducks) and you have a solid 5 star experience. It's a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip.

The choco coffee drink was both delicious and gorgeous (see photo), and the hot chocolates were out of this world!
