The BEST lunch spot in Paris, France. I cannot rave enough about how amazing my open faced sandwhich experience was. Simple menu and great prices for quality food! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Chicken tartine

I hate to give a poor rating considering so many people have raved about this place but I was really disappointed. Perhaps I had played it up too much considering the great reviews, but I didn't have a positive experience. I was seated at one of the large tables in the back, directly beside a couple. My seat was legitimately right next to them, and I felt as though I was intruding on their lunch date. I asked for a glass of red to start and made the mistake of asking for my salad with chicken, so the waiter didn't realize I wanted to order from the dejeuner menu, even though I was pointing to it as I spoke, but I understand how I'm at fault here. When I asked to keep my menu because I hadn't decided which tartine I wanted, he realized that I hadn't ordered the entree salad, so he went to tell the chef. She made a scene. She leaned over and looked directly at me from behind the counter and waved her arms and complained loudly asking what she could do with the salad now, it's such a waste, etc etc. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Had they not reacted as such, I would have gladly offered to just make the large salad my meal. From that point on, my waiter seemed to just be annoyed with me and pretty much ignored me. Regardless, I enjoyed the little salad when it came out, nothing special but the mustard dressing and piece of bread it came with were good. I ordered the "roasted" chicken tartine which I do not recommend if you like your chicken cooked well done. It tasted and looked undercooked to me. The best part of the meal was definitely the Poilane cookie that was served with the coffee. In the future, I will just head to the bakery and get some goodies from there. I have to agree with other viewers too that the fare is definitely light and for 15 euros you can get something more substantial and better elsewhere. Despite being half French and ordering in French, I have never felt more like a "tourist" here in terms of how I was treated.

C.Comme Chez Vous - Croque monsieur and ham and cheese crepe

Tiny little spot but well worth the stop. We ordered 2 sodas, a ham and cheese crepe, and a croque monsieur. Total came out to ~33 USD / ~31 euros. Both the crepe and the croque were good, portions were pretty big, and staff were very friendly and fast. It's really close to the Eiffel tower so I'd highly suggest giving them your business if you need a quick bite.

First, as we stood by the deli counter deciding what we wanted to order, we never felt rushed or like the workers were annoyed with us "tourist Americans". They were welcoming and so nice! They have a simple selection of takeout sandwiches (ham and cheese, French hotdog, chicken and cheese, etc.) that they make and give to you wrapped in foil to keep them warm. They also sell bottles of wine for $10--and since we didn't have a bottle opener, the chef kindly opened it for us to take on our way! God bless France and their lack of open container laws. Also, we later went to a sit down restaurant that evening and ordered a bottle of rosé. To our shock, it was the SAME exact bottle of wine we bought here for $10, only $5 more expensive! This place clearly has great prices and isn't a tourist trap scam. Nothing beats drinking wine and having a picnic near the Eiffel Tower! So glad we found this place.

We stopped here after getting back to Paris late one evening. The setup is identical to any found in the states, down to the peanuts. This is clearly not the experience we've had at that other US based chain from Oakbrook IL, which always feels tiny and cramped. We ordered a Burger (€9.95) and a Bacon Burger (€12.95) both with cheese. And no, it wasn't called a "Royale with Cheese" LOL. Our Tab came to €23.77 plus 10% VAT or €26.15. Both tasted very fresh and served Medium, with the meat being a little pink inside. Nice! The Coke machine inside, was also identical to the ones you've seen that serve multi-drinks. But here, everything tasted like Dr Pepper. Ugh. Otherwise, everything was good.

I remember fondly my first visit over 20 years ago to the very first non-franchised 5 Guys. So I will admit I have a special place in my heart for this very successful fast food chain. After spending the day at Roland Garros, sitting in the sun, this was a perfect option for dining. Nothing fancy needed. We arrived and the place was packed. They have inside dining upstairs, outside dining in an attached area and a third area next to the street which is also covered. The line moved quickly as they had I think four ordering areas open. On each occasion we ordered a Little Burger, a Petite Fries, a coke, and a beer. Food cost $23 Euro. We opened out burger, cut it in half and poured our fries out to share. I have to say this burger and these fries were perfectly cooked. They came exactly as ordered. My only wish has remained over the years is that I wish they warmed their buns! Highly recommend. No reservations taken. Line moves quickly. Attitude of all workers is unbelievably positive. Will recommend.
