Remember in Paris when French people eat their meals is not 30 mins but 2 hours:) I won't ays too much it is for you to discover and to explore the best.

It's also loud and crazy busy and I've been told that an hour or two wait is not uncommon. The portions are massive. We ordered 3 plates for 5 adults and 2 kids and still had some leftovers. Did you read that??? Leftovers. These guys do something that is still pretty unique in France. They offer you a way to take what you didn't eat home. It shouldn't be noteworthy but around here it is. Sadly they're not that good at it. If you like their fries and expect that the two large portions that you did not eat will be included in that leftover bag you will be mistaken. And the price. I might be a cheapskate but considering the wait and the volume 150 something Euros was a little more than I expected for a meal like this. Sangria was awesome. May be fortified with a little whiskey. No reservations and the parking sucks!

If you read about Les Halles in Le Ventre de Paris (1873) by Emile Zola you would know of the place…read morewhere fresh food was wholesaled. Perhaps I was crazy to imagine a spectacular view of halls after halls of the fresh seafoods, meats or poultrys. It inspired me so much it sent us on a roadtrip from Belgium at 11 PM, we were running behind for Rungis that opened from 1-5 AM. We reached Rungis Marche International a city on its own at 2 AM. The market was just slowing awakening and alive with fresh food. We drove around these enormous buildings the size of convention centers, it was so confusing we had to consult the site map. The halls opened in cascading fashion 1 hall per hour we were told by the Chefs the seafood hall would open first. When we arrived I was literally speechless at the sheer number of wholesalers proudly displaying their seafood: fresh boxes of sea urchins, scallops on shells, trouts so fresh they were shining and live shrimps still jumping. At the poultry and game hall, fresh chickens/squab/ ducks/ pheasants/ rabbits/ were displayed. The poultry all cleaned except retaining the head and feather around the neck to show its freshness. The cases of foie gras, pates and charcuterie were just mouth wateringly attractive. We ventured into the Triperie where the organs, trotters and other stuff were sold. It was quite amazing to see the standard of hygiene and lack of foul smell you would imagine from a place as such. The same was for the meat hall it was clean and odorless - I never saw more beef, lamb or pork in my life!! I was glad to have made this trip.

The worst place I've eaten at in France after living here for 7 years…read more My husband and I went to try the Korean BBQ and can not speak to their Japanese menu, however we will never return to try it. I ordered the Marinate Beef BBQ, and my husband the Seafood Platter. Each priced at 17.50 Euros. Food: The beef arrived without Marinade. It was simply raw beef with sesame seeds and onions on top. When we asked where the Marinade was, the server poured salty soya sauce all over the meat on our table and said "voila, now its marinated". After finishing half the plate, my stomach was cramping, and I was scared to eat more. When the server brought the seafood platter to the table she warned my huband it must be WELL cooked before eating. It became clear that this fish was frozen and low quality. We both left fearful of food poisoning, and a little in shock over how terrible our experience was. Service: Bad As we were paying, and explaining our disappointment with the quality of their food and misleading menu, the manager stated, "if you don't like how we do things here, do not come back". We will definitely follow her advice. Restaurant/location: Great location by the RER Station, spacious and clean. Recommendation: Walk across the street and eat at Au Living.

The service is relatively friendly, but please do yourself a favour - avoid the barbecue platters…read more The marinade is awful, butter is used to grease the hot plates and, worst of all, they use baking paper on the hot plates to "prevent meat from charring and facilitate cleaning". Most would agree that warming up slices of meat on buttered-up baking paper does not constitute a barbecue by any stretch of the imagination. Of course, I did not expect to find an authentic Korean barbecue in Massy, but this was really a low point in my culinary adventures in the area. As another reviewer has mentioned, you're much better off at Au Living across the street.
