It's situated in a historical center of small town, sorrounding is clean, full of flowers. Hotel has many different small stylish salons, which perfectly goes together. Rooms are clean maintain and nicely furnished. No matter that furniture and eguipment is not newest I wouldnt change anything. Hotel has a garden which is perfect for having breakfast. I missing hotel breakfast where was offered warm croissants, baguetts, local pastry, bio eggs and many other delights.

A fine hotel in the heart of Alsace!…read more I stayed at Le Colombier for 3 nights in the summer. The hotel is extremely charming with a courtyard and a winding staircase. The hotels rooms are all different. I initially was frustrated that I had to move rooms during my stay. However, I ended up moving from what I thought was the most pleasant room ever to an even more pleasant room! I started in a traditional room which was warm and inviting, with hardwood floors, comfortable beds and a great bathroom. Then next night, I moved to the top floor in a suite. This room had a sitting area, huge sleeping area, massive bathroom and a charming beamed ceiling. This room had a great view of the city. The hotel staff moved my belongings between rooms - I almost didn't notice that I had to pack twice. I ate breakfast each day in the hotel and it is not to be missed. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Coffee, tea, eggs, toasts, cheese, meats. The hotel staff was very friendly - trying to help me find restaurants and spots to visit. They booked taxis as well. When my phone didn't work, the front desk person acted as intermediary between me and my mother. It was a nice touch. All in all, if I visit Colmar again, I will definitely stay at Le Colombier. The hotel is pricey, but worth it for the comfort and convenience. Oh - and the air conditioning works great!!!
