As soon as you get off the stop, the cafe is just a stone's throw away - same side turn right at the corner. When you arrive and look through the window of the cozy, quaint, and charming cafe, you'll be welcomed with a warm and beautiful smile from Audrey, the owner and chef extraordinaire. She uses fresh - imagine the sound of baguette crackling on every bite! - sustainable, and farm-fresh ingredients where the chickens roam freely with lots of friends eating like kings and queens 'til their number is called for worthy sacrifice. Audrey's food is all homemade on the spot and she supports her community by offering local wines - I'm a big fan of the red from Le Chateau de Castille. We were seated at a table with a nice older couple who were regulars just next to us and we ended up visiting with them and got some good recommendations. The pizza is good not great but I would 100% get it again just because it's part of the experience. We got both the cheese and the anchovy which is the way to go. Although I had planned to order steak, we switched to the "fried calamari" after our table mates recommended it. Great choice. It's not actually fried but maybe just sautéed. Delicious. The green salad is wonderfully simple and delicious as well. We finished with the apple tart dessert. The restaurant is just as much experience as it is a place for food. I think it's certainly worth a visit although they don't cater much to tourists. Service can be abrupt and abrasive if you don't speak great French although we were treated fine. Next trip we will return for sure if we have the chance.

I'm such a sucker for Italian food, and this meal did not disappoint! Definitely on the pricier end…read morebut well worth it, at least in my opinion. The restaurant was packed when we walked in on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm, but we luckily had a reservation. There's a bar section, as well as seating inside - I will say though, the seating inside is a bit of a squeeze, with the tables being super close to each other. The inside is dim and bustling with conversation. They have a chalkboard menu on the wall, and servers are chill and willing to recommend what to get. We started off with the jambon, which they cut fresh with the machine by the bar. Each slice was super thin and tender, pairing great with the olive oil and bread. We got three different types of pastas, one with jambon, one with shrimp, and one with beef. The jambon pasta had a subtle flavor profile (hints of olive oil and maybe a bit of butter?) which I enjoyed, bringing out the saltiness of the ham. The noodles were chewy and al dente. The shrimp was super tender and fresh. And the beef pasta sauce was lemon-y and creamy. Each dish was distinct from one another but all enjoyable and delicious! We ended with the tiramisu, which was super rich and creamy, literally melting in your mouth. A meal I'd definitely enjoy having again!
