They may be priced a little higher than the tourist traps with cheaply made items, but please take a closer look and slow down to know the people working there, you may be surprised. Look in the cases and consider the pottery items. Make eye contact, smile, and attempt a little Spanish. This makes all the difference. Vaya con Dios.
Without a doubt the best Mexican craft store we found in our travels to Mexico with authentic…read morecrafts from various parts of Mexico(not just Yucatan) and what I found to be very reasonable prices. Not to mean they are cheap... because if you want cheap goods and like bargaining there are places right around the corner, but reasonable prices for actual handmade crafts. We picked up two awesome La Catrina sculptures, an awesome alebrijes frog and beautiful jewelry box. When we got home we were looking at the quality of the La Catrinas and they are amazing(and delicate...)
Tiendita de regalos y bellos adornos

We've been several times and never walked out empty handed. Our casa need some decor, not furniture, we have that, but decor. The Crazy Store has added beauty and brightness to our casa. Staff is very helpful. Find something, point it out to a staff member and continue shopping. When you're all done everything is waiting for you at the front.

Seemed…read morelike the stalls were selling the same kinds of goods that were being sold in the pricey stores around the zocalo but at much more reasonable prices. Little or no English was spoken here as it seemed to be aimed at a more local clientele, however, a little Spanish went a long way and we had no trouble negotiating our purchases. Highly recommend.

He told us about a store that is owned by Mayans and that all of the proceeds from the goods sold go to local indigenous communities and all products there are hand made by the locals. FALSE. This place is full of lies. Prices are extremely high and the salesmen are extremely aggressive. I cannot confirm what is locally made and what isn't but this store has a number of products from China. Bottom line, the store is a total front. They claim to be a "Cooperative" for local Mayan families but it is privately owned and way over priced. They have jipijapa hats priced at $99-150 DOLLARS. ACTUAL JIPIJAPA HATS SELL FOR AT MOST 500 PESOS! This place is a scam. Stay far away from these rats. Also watch out as the plaza principal or main plaza is full of rats.
