We were eating really well, and having great experiences throughout our visit to several Mexican restaurants in Mexico, and this one fell short.
After visiting this restaurant, and it was one that my husband found, I did the research and came to find that it is a chain restaurant. Not a very large chain restaurant, but like small or big chain restaurants the authenticity and fresh ingredients suffer.
We had ordered nopal planchado con queso and the nopal was bit slimy, or more so than what I recall ever tasting. We ordered two different moles poblanos and one had platanos fritos and the other was supposed to have chicken. Our original waiter was no where to be located when we wanted to place our order, so someone else did. The upsetting incident that occurred happened that when they brought our moles to the table both were chicken. I told them that the order was half right, but they expected us to accept it and pay for it. I think not. I explained that they could remove one of the plates since it was not my mistake and our original waiter was no where to be found. We finally left with just paying for what we ate, which was the one plate of mole, which wasn't the best we had. Had the service been better we would have had a better experience here. read more
