We visited the pyramid and the church on top of it in Cholula. Fortunately, we had a reservation at this terrific restaurant. It sits in a little oasis surrounded by birds and plants and trees. The service was very good. They were kind enough to split the meal into two portions so that we shared a single order of each item. We enjoyed all of our food. We had a Caprese salad, a nicely grilled fish, and a frangipani dessert. We thought the pricing was very reasonable, given the high-quality and the ambience. read more

On our trip to Cholula we were recommended this place for a nice dinner. They had a live band and the ambiance and decoration where amazing. Great service and everything was impecable. The food was honestly ok for me and had much better food in Mexico but it was worth the experience. The food presentation and the dish wear are beautiful. Desserts were delicious. read more

We returns to Cholula primarily so we can again enjoy a fabulous dinner. First, I will start with the service. Victor and Andrea we absolutely lovely and made us feel incredibly special. They deserve our eternal thanks for their wonderful recommendations and patience! Now the food. Started with smokes salmon carpaccio. OMG! I hated having to share. The flavors were delectable and simple yet complex. Then came the tapas (apples on a crostini) yummmmmm! Them the green salad with Brie and raspberries and other yummies with a light balsamic vinaigrette was delightful. Then came main course. I don't like salmon but since we were sharing had play nice. I can only review the quality of the food. Excellent. Outstanding menu and options. Everything was prepared fresh to order, securely packaged and labelled for easy distribution at home. The food was excellent. We had appetizers, entrees and deserts. Looking around the restaurant, I wanted to come back and sit down to a full meal. Great atmosphere and velet parking. There is a park/archeological site nearby to make it a afternoon/evening getaway. I know it is listed 3 $s and that is probably true for the region but it is very affordable for an American's budget. Beautiful restaurant at the base of the pyramid in Cholula. We came here right after our visit to the church. You can actually see the church of our lady of the remedies from the courtyard. Such a wonderful place to relax after walking around. Food was great overall and they have a great selection of cocktails and wines. The lamb shank was incredible and so was the red and green pipian, our only complaint was the super dry chicken served with the pipian. Service was meh, but that's to be expected when they switch over from breakfast to lunch. read more

This place is one the most beautiful restaurants in Cholula. The best service and the food is so diverse and delicious. We had the tuna tostada, croquetas, the fish of the day, and a chicken pasta dish. We also got dessert which was a cheesecake type cake and that was also amazing. I would highly recommed coming here, especially coming from NYC this kind of food and service is top notch. read more

I wasn't planning on leaving a review due to poor service, but the place is nice so I had to leave a star at the very least. * FYI: There is a dress code here apparently; you will be asked to leave or simply ignored if not wearing proper attire. So don't come with a regular t-shirt and sneakers. I know I shouldn't expect much from a country like Mexico, and especially in their so call "fine dining". I'm all about service before quality. I requested a cappuccino and got a coffee with milk instead; funny I thought at first, until I then later requested a dessert spoon for my dessert (obviously) and to my surprise I got a salad spoon instead; who hired these waiters? Not sure how the hiring process goes in a country like Mexico, but management should take some tips from Americans and learn to interview these waiters/waitresses. When someone is serving me in a "fine dining cuisine" I expect them to know what it is I am requesting. Props to the chef by the way. Taste could be better but still good. It is decent, with an ample selection of AUTHENTIC Mexican food, including several types of moles. Some years ago I would have given them five stars, last time I ate there I would have given them three stars, so four stars is a fair average. They also have a show of Aztec dancers some nights of the month and the place is very cozy. read more

I love how traditional Mexican dishes are elevated and presented in a refined, sometimes innovative way without compromising any of the complex flavors that characterize them. The food was prepared very well. The chef was very good with the presentation of his food. All the staff was very nice and very helpful to recommend items on the menu. The soups were so good. The meat was very flavorful. The deserts were so good. The would recommend the rose pedal cake. The decor of the restaurant was very nice. The live singer was very good. After visiting Pyramid of San Pedro Cholula thru the caves and talking to a organ grinder person (asking him - where is the monkey?) our party of 6 went for a late by USA standards lunch. The service was outstanding, but not the food, from our 6 entries (3) three were sent back (the meat was too raw even for a rare request). One came back second time, still not up to request, but the person was too hungry and decided to wing it. The only one pasta dish was also not to person liking. Well the beers and sodas were OK, also the bread and the butter in a cute leaf wrapper. The grill chef was summoned to our table, maybe he got a bad day or he was brand new, in any case at the end of the meal, some notes in Spanish were provided on the customer satisfaction card by our Spanish speaking person (her meal was still the only one retuned back).
