They sell a large selection of meats and cuts. We were waiting for 2.5" thick pork chops. The butchers called us to let us know when they got an adequate amount of pork in so that they could actually cut the pork chops that thick. They have various meats Including Wagu beef and dry aged. Aside from meats they sell pasta, cheese, veggies, fish, ice cream, beverages and a variety of spices and cooking liquids like honey, jam etc. I was happy to find cheese from yancey's which is a local cheese shop close to my family in Buffalo NY. Biggest confusion is the excessive styrofoam and plastic used here. The meats we selected were wrapped in paper with styrofoam. All of the prepackaged meat is nicely vacuum sealed with styrofoam inside of it. This makes 0 sense to me. I would be happy to buy the prepackaged vacuum sealed meat without styrofoam to sous vide it... it's such a waste and so bad for the environment of this beautiful island. There is no need for the styrofoam!!! Otherwise I recommend this shop if you're looking to spend a pretty penny on some meat.

Piñero, in the Altamira neighborhood of San Juan, off the PR-20. It is also known as La Hacienda de Altamira. It has a private parking lot with plenty of spaces. They have a few tables set up outside in front of the store. This is the most spacious of the Hacienda stores, making it comfortable to move around with a cart or stroller. Being a gourmet grocery, you will find pricier products here than at the average supermarket. Depending on what you want, the higher price may be worth it. I like coming here for fresher produce and ingredients I find difficult to find at the supermarket, such as real feta cheese. The meats here are excellent quality, as are their pre-marinated meats. This is an ideal place to buy snacks for a picnic or get together. They have delicious deli salads/dips. They also have a good selection of craft beer, mainly from Ocean Lab. Their baguettes are very good. They sell out quickly, so if you are lucky to get one nice and warm, you are in for a treat. This store has a Café Hacienda San Pedro inside for fresh and delicious coffee. You have to pay for the coffee at the cashier before placing your order with the barista (although if there is nobody in line, you can order and they'll prepare the coffee while you pay).
