This Restaurant, Baiti Dei Forti, is to the right when you step off the gondola located lower on the side of the cliff. The entrance is down a steep decline of white rock. I don't know if they have a more simplistic entrance. To the left of the gondola there is another place to eat; it has more of a cafeteria feel with grab and go food. My friends grabbed hotdogs there and headed off to hike. I chilled with our stuff at Baita Dei Forti and enjoyed great food and the laid back, cozy vibes. When you walk in if you keep going straight there is a row of tables along a window giving you a beautiful view. If you go left there is yet another room further back with padded seating, also with windows, which I opted for. I ordered the veal and mushroom lasagna, it was very rich, very good and very filling. One of the richest dishes I've had in Italy. It looks to be family-owned and operated with a picture of the Menotti family on the front of the menu; I feel the food and atmosphere is more authentic than other places we have been. I also ordered the grilled cheese, mushrooms and polenta. The polenta was spongy squares of corn flour (as opposed to the mill/porridge form) with grill marks across the top and bottom. The mushrooms were rich, the cheese was huge. I'd say it's a good appetizer for a group to share. I also ordered the cappuccino; which had a slight smoky flavor, it tasted more of a dark roast than other ones I've had in Italy, which I appreciated. They have a very extensive menu with many options; including liquor, wine and desserts. The prices were a little bit above average but They definitely have quality food to back up the price. They do have wifi, you may have to pay for it after an hour but it is available.
