In modern times the menu was upgraded to serve variety of traditional food - dumplings (pierogis) and latkes (placki ziemniaczan = potato pancakes) being one of the high points of the menu. I am originally from Poland and I can confirm that the food adheres to traditional Polish recipes and tastes great. Food - my typical order contains either dumplings or potato pancakes. Pierogis are done well - the dough is thin and stuffing is generous. Whether you order them just boiled or boiled and pan fried they are done well. You can also add some garnish - sour creme, fried bacon or onion. The most expensive type are panfried meat dumplings - are 20PLN (~$5) for 7 and that is a decent price IMHO. Latkes (without any garnish) are about 8PLS (~$2) for set of 4 and that is good price. You pick the food at the counter so there is no service. But the wait is short - about 10 mins or less. Ambiance - place is spacious and clean - there is always a sitting space. They even allow well behaving dogs inside.

Still hungry, we paid over 100zł for two people for breakfast. Which I consider above average for the area, food taste and portion size. Unfortunately Batida's experience was way below our expectations. Hope you have better luck!
