Vibe 305 is a food truck at the corner of N. Miami Ave and NE 29th St. in Wynwood (right next to…read moreMorgans). It's a simple menu with prices ranging from $8-10 but the food is savory and well-priced, and you will always be served with a smile. They offer a variety of tasty items including chicken caesar salads or wraps, chicken tenders or wings, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, quesadillas, cheeseburgers, and eggroll sandwiches (that last one is very Miami - it's a mix of eggrolls, smoked pork, ham & cheese, pickles, and honey mustard. It may not sound like it works but it SO SO DOES). The French fries are killer - extra crispy and seasoned perfectly - but if you want to go the healthier route you can substitute salad for an upcharge of $1.50. A variety of sodas and waters are also available for purchase for $2. Even more so than the food itself, WHO is serving you is key here: all the young men who work there are participants in the Empowered Youth program. EY is an intervention program for kids 13-18 who got in trouble with the law (minor, nonviolent offenses) and have made a commitment to participate in EY to have their record expunged. Since 2006, EY has provided mentorship opportunities for these young men, most of whom have no male role model at home. They also learn anger management, receive tutoring assistance, and job training - like what is provided via the Vibe 305 food truck, where participants who have studied with a chef and have received their Food Handler and/or Food Safety Manager Certification can participate. EY does a great job in providing these at-risk inner-city youth the tools and support they need to change their life's trajectory and not only beat the odds but also to become positive, productive role models in their families and communities. The goal of EY is to lower the re-offending rate among at-risk youth, and give them the tools to make better choices and create positive lives for themselves. Stopping at Vibe 305 for lunch or dinner means not only a nice meal that won't break your wallet, more importantly it means you are helping invest in a better future for these bright young men who are making the most of their second chance.

The four piece group did not disappoint, and the sax player was great. We just grabbed a beer, but it was a worthwhile stop for the end of an evening.

My first time trying Talkin' Tacos, and overall, it was delicious! We ordered through Uber Eats…read morebecause they had a Buy One, Get One 50% Off promo, so of course we had to take advantage of it LOL. I tried the street corn in a cup, and it was really good. The carne asada steak was definitely a 5/5! My husband had the birria tacos, which we both rated a 4/5. I personally skipped the soup because it was a little too dark and light for my liking. My sister-in-law had the shrimp tacos and gave them a 3/5. She wasn't a fan of how the tortilla was made, and she felt the shrimp wasn't properly breaded. My brother-in-law gave his loaded fries a 4.5/5, with his only complaint being that he didn't really like the cilantro sauce. His recommendation is to ask for the sauces on the side so you can add them yourself. Overall, we had a good first experience and would definitely try Talkin' Tacos again, especially to try some of their other options!

The chips were extremely stale and the "guac" was some of the worst avocado paste I've had, with an excessive amount of juice from the pico that was on top (literally a pool of water). The tacos themselves were fine - we got the birria, steak, and shrimp, and the only one we would probably order again would be the shrimp (as it tasted the freshest). We liked the sauce that came with the carne, but the meat itself was really tough. There is plenty of seating inside, which was nice and good for large groups. You order via a tablet, so minimal interaction with any people that work there.
