The space is tucked away off the main cathedral plaza and has a very calm atmosphere despite its formality. The server helping us was extremely gracious and friendly, and we have to say that the two white wines that he selected for us were absolutely fantastic.
We started with the poached egg and asparagus, and we didn't love it. Most of the dish was cold, which is not usually welcome with eggs, but the flavor was nice (LOTS of sauce, as in way too much). For primi, our daughter's eggplant parmigiana ravioli were really nice, and that was probably our favorite dish of the meal. The lemon linguine was super citrusy, but one of us did not love the pairing with the trout eggs. The "mixed grilled meat" plate was very novel. There was this odd salad that was almost like a soup but it was so fresh and delicious-tasting, and definitely very unique. The various meats we tried were also quite tasty, so the dish overall landed well for us.
Even though we didn't fall in love with this restaurant, we would recommend it and can see ourselves going again if we're ever back in Cremona (fingers crossed!!). They also gave us a copy of their menu as a souvenir which had this beautiful picture of a fairy playing the violin that we are going to frame, so that's a nice memory. 3.5 stars, rounding up for the memories!
