Having just been in Japan a month ago, I was excited to try it. I came here later in the evening cramps around 10 p.m. you'd only had to wait a few minutes to get a table outside. The wait staff for great. They made a few recommendations. Where to start? Well it seems reasonable to start the miso soup which I found to be quite good. This had a fairly authentic taste to it. Moving on, I tried tuna sushi roll as a salmon roll. The fish just did not seem all that great. Certainly edible, but just a average quality. I was a little disappointed. Is there it was a chocolate cake. This was warmed and served with ice cream. This was a very nice dish. A good finishing move.

Everyone says it takes two months to get a table, but just call and ask for their next available. I called on a Friday night and they gave us a table for the following Wednesday. This place was recommended to me by a Japanese friend. It´s a sister restaurant of Tastem, which is apparently the best Japanese in Valencia, but also expensive... Sushi and tapas has a great menu of the day which is very affordable just 12 euro + tax including a starter, main and dessert and a drink. We had the tuna and salmon tartar and the eggplant salmon salad (delicious). Then we had the sushi variation and maki variation. As a dessert we had the sesame panna cota, lovely it tasted just like the more traditional sesame ice-cream but even better! And they had an extra of menu desert which was a kaki cake with ginger ice-cream, very refreshing. (see pictures I added) The only thing I did not like about this restaurant is the white house wine. I would definitely be back for lunch.

How can a restaurant effect my self esteem......sadly it just did. And, even worse the food is not bad, a little heavy on the rice, but places like this don't want you to eat to much.
