While her name escapes me,we had two of the best diners in Salerno - breaking from the everyday pasta - and it was FANTASTIC. Thank you for some of the best ribs of my life. The meat fell off the bones, the flavor unmatched, and the service attentive yet not burdensome - it as if she knew me my entire life. Also posting to Tripadvisor. Caio!

We order Dogfish Head DNA and John Bull Classic. It is quite an impressive facility, very large and sprawling on the inside, with a lot of money spent on presenting a vintage pub. Servers that day could all speak fair English, and were very poor at their job that day. Never asked about more drinks when our glass was empty. Actually served our appetizer to the wrong table and since the never check back, they didn't notice until I asked about it. Menu had Fish and Chips with either cod or fresh fish of the day, which they said was...cod. When it arrived it appeared to be a fairly typical plate, but living in the area we knew to be careful. Each of our first bites revealed a surprising amount bones, which we don't expect in restaurant served fried fish cuts. We tolerated it until, in my first piece, I further came across the actual vertebrae of the fish. 2 of them the size of finger knuckle. I brought the waiter over to explain, his response was to blame the cut of the fish, we said we were finished, and left. Only one visit can't really account for the real trend of a place's service, and they must have some success base on their appearance. An emotional rating would be 1-star or less. Trying to look at the big picture, we give it 2.

We were trying to find a place that wasn't just more Italian food and being of Irish heritage found…read moreit fitting to try out this place. Very cramped and dark, but felt like a legitimate pub for sure. One thing that was definitely surprising to me was that their signature dish was "Irish Ribs". Now maybe I didn't spend enough time in Ireland, but most small local pubs we went to didn't offer ribs. So of course we had to see what it was about and ordered it along with a pistachio pesto pizza and a stuffed baked potato. The potato thing was definitely a huge deal as it seemed like 90% of the menu was something with potato, so kind of riding a stereotype. The food was good, other than the signature ribs ha ha. The pizza was perfectly cooked, the pistachio pesto was rich and creamy. The baked potato was also very good, not burnt and was cooked through. The filling was delicious, unfortunately I can't recall exactly what was in it (lost in translation). I believe we ordered the croquettes as well since we love them as a snack. They came in a nice basket and were great. The ribs however... ouch. Please don't call that a signature dish or claim that is what you are known for, its an insult to the Irish and an insult to ribs. For those who know US foods, you could pick up a rack of ribs precooked in BBQ sauce from the grocery store for $5-8 and they honestly are better. The pork was cooked okay, but nothing stood out about the ribs. Other than the bones it felt like we were eating a McRib or some other processed pork product. To the owners of the pub - please go find true BBQ ribs and follow suit, this fast food equivalent is bad! So if you are from the US or are familiar with other quality BBQ foods like Korean BBQ, please skip the ribs and get something else. Overall we had a great experience, great food(other than the ribs), great Irish beer, and great service.
