Nice cold beer
Tim P.

Wanted to try something different so we decided to try German food. Opted to eat in the air conditioned dining room. They have a very extensive beer list from Europe and five to six Mexican beers. I opted for a Mexican beer and my wife ordered red wine. Prices were about in line with local places. I ordered the bratwurst platter with mashed potatoes and ordered a side of sauerkraut. My wife ordered the jagerschnitzel with mashed potatoes. My bratwurst was ok, about like any sausage from here. The sauerkraut was good, a little sweeter than I am used to, and great mashed potatoes that were creamy and had lumps. My wife loved the schnitzel with its mushroom gravy. She also loved the potatoes. Service was great and prices ok for Centro. We will be back.

IPA excellent flavor.

Great food and prices! Definitely 5 star review. I was here 10 years ago for new year's and love the ambiance. Coming back was very nostalgic. Authentic German food in Mexico. The service was very professional. I love it.

Beer, beer, beer!!! This place transport you to a German pub with a variety of beers to chose from!! The food selections are mainly sausages and potato choices- very much needed because the strong beers creep up- Ambience is great, along with the service-a girl band was entertaining the crowd/ The only draw back is the lack of lighter fares- everything on the many is tasty but definitely heavy-

National beer- tasting. As a German I have to mention: not too bad

As a german I really liked this bar in Mexico The atmosphere and - which is more important - the beer was a huge pleasure

When you get tired of the national beers this is the place. Huge selection of imported German and Belgian beers and ales. Free Wi-Fi too!

Cold meats

I drink enough German beers at home so I was here to try their dishes. Had the cold cut plate with negra Modelo draft. The meat were good. They can do better with the bread though. Freshly baked artisan rolls would have been better than basic cold rolls.y wife ordered fries and they were actually quite good

Ordered the margarita with Jose Especial for about $29 pesos (converts to a little over $2 USD per drink).

I've never had a sit down meal here but the the main dining area is very nice and there is another section that is open to the sky. Customers are a combination of locals and visitors. It's enchanting at night watching the lighted towers of the old cathedral standing watch over the Merida night sky...sitting at a candle lit table with cool Yucatan breezes blowing. It's a far remove from the hustle and bustle of the narrow, crowded downtown streets and the lively plaza. I ordered a pumpkin seed-based salsa which was prepared table side in a stone vessel. My friend ordered the grilled fish with rice, pickled carrots, onions and sauces. Both were delicious. We also had nice drinks, red wine sangria, and beer. What was perhaps the best feature of the place is the excellent waitstaff who are bilingual, who are helpful with making you feel comfortable, who provide charming conversation and tips, and who are generally well trained in hospitality. Such a far cry from the dour and arrogant wait staff typically found in Washington DC restaurants. This is a good place for a quiet escape from the plaza crowd.
