Holy smokes they're Avalon good. The sourdough baguettes are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cherry pastry is also divine and not too sweet. A small pinch for $10 for a thin baguette and a pastry. Will be back to try more. read more

This place has the best sourdough I have ever had - still warm on a Saturday morning there is nothing better. Get there quick as it sells out regularly. Cakes pies quiches and other Patisserie stuff *is enough to make Bakers Delight look like 3 day old Tip Top. Baguettes that Jerry would rob from an old lady. Everything is good. Vietnamese family (who have a long bakery history) pump out all these goodies from an antique 50 year old oven. All hand made - everything. French Vietnamese decor, with all old racks and shelves. La Banette is a REAL (bakers) delight. * D2 tells me "Patisserie stuff" might be better expressed as Boulangerie. read more

We also picked up some German dough-based cookies that everyone loved, fresh and crunchy with a light sugar coating. It's a nice little shop, more than that if you like sausages.
