The room was large and bathroom was normal. Loved the rosemary shower gel. Nice cabinet for bags with a safe for security. No a/c but it wasn't necessary, even in August. You could hear people coming up the stairs and in the hallway, but other than that it was nice & quiet. Great breakfast with meats & cheeses, cereal, crescents, juices & caffe. Great restaurant nearby and the bar at the hotel seemed pretty cool. Overall, great choice for this small lively town.

Although clean and tidy, the decor looks like its come straight from 1989 but this is pretty standard for most Alpine hotels. It drops the 5th star for 2 reasons; the rooms can get quite cold as the windows are fairly draughty, and its quite far from the ski lift (though it does operate a free transfer service to compensate). It is well located for the nightlife though, and the breakfast selection is pretty good.

It is just off the slope mid-mountain in meribel but easy for people staying in the village to get up if they can cross one trail from the rhodos bubble. My wife and I both had the croustillant de tartiflette, which was excellent--nice and crispy pastry with some salad. She and my daughter had the bhudda bowl and I had the vegetarian curry. They were all huge, very tasty and reasonably healthy.

The ski rental was seamless and easy. They even give you a locker what heats your ski boots! Sold!! The spa facilities are world class! It gets super busy after 5pm as everyone gets off the hill but still great! The sauna and hammam were hot which we appreciate, there's an ice room and also a pool. The dinner the first night was impressive! Braised lamb fell off the bones and a beautiful salad bar! Great wine selection and liquors! The bar area is great for kids and adults. I love the hotel, excellent service, indoor swimming pool, very good ski shop where you can rent more or less all equipment, a very nice and cozy bar, and a superb restaurant both for lunch and dinner. If you have nice weather you can have lunch outdoor in the sunshine! Remarkable hotel! Highly recommended!

I've been going on ski holidays to the Alps for years and my expectations are moderate when it comes to these places. The hotel itself was renovated fairly recently (5-7 years?) and it shows. The rooms are significantly larger than I've been used to and all the fixtures and general feel of the place is very good. The beds are comfortable but could use a bit of a refresh. The hotel itself is a small 5 minute walk to the lifts, or just a couple of minutes to the bus stations that will take you to one of the Daille or Fornet. Ski shops and restaurants are located all around, and a market is literally next door making shopping extremely easy. The staff are truly friendly and great, and the meals were generally excellent compared to the usual fare. Very much recommended if you're heading out to Val.
