We were in the mood for Italian and of all places, we were lucky to have found this place. To my surprise, there were more Italian restaurants in this city than I expected. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who sat us promptly. This was a busy restaurant but the guests did not suffer as the service was par excellence. The food was excellent and the flavor what authentic. It's evident did high-quality ingredients were used in all Their meals. I had the pasta with truffle shavings and wow was it probably the best dish I've had in a long time. Ask the waiter to pair the wine for you, They are really knowledgeable about Their wines. I saw the owner interacting with a lot of guests and he even came by to see how our meal what. Shared a few laughs about his time in the United States When He what younger. If I am in Germany again, I would come back to this place and would recommend anyone come here.

We were staying in a nearby apartement on our way up to Sweden. This place was within walking…read moredistance, has a fine outdoor beer garden and good reviews. So we decided to have dinner here. Service and the owner were friendly and our dog was welcome. Choice of pizza was plenty and prices really fair. We decided on two beers, Seafood Spaghetti and the Pizza Rustica. Beer was nice and cold on this warm summer evening. The Pizza was a great deal, just about 7 Euros for a pizza with plenty of mushrooms and spicy salami. Good cheese on top as well. What brings the overall rating down though is the Seafood Spaghetti. We've been in Italy lots of times in countless restaurants, so we know what we talk about. But this Seafood Spaghetti here - besides the fact that they were a bit overcooked - did just not taste fresh. At least some ingredients must have been frozen and you can tell. Seafood Spaghetti can be a real delight, but the flavour and taste of these were just way off. All in all an ok place, just come for the Pizza.

The waiter was patient and kind, even though we were a table of 4 that turned into 6, with no reservation, and asking for many changes to the menu, speaking I think three languages but not very good German--but he was Italian, and so is the Chef, and that of course, was a plus. Nice selection of after dinner drinks too (Fernet, grappa, etc). We sat outside, which was more casual than inside. Inside was very cozy and nice. I think either way you'd feel comfortable dressed up or down. Here, it's about their Italian food, not you.
