Delicious! My lunch here was my favorite meal of my trip. The restaurant is located on a beautiful pedestrian street lined with many outdoor restaurants, and this place seemed to be the one most focused on tartare/meat. The menu was all-French, but fortunately the staff graciously offered to translate in English for us.
We started off with the Traditionnel beef tartare, Terre Mer beef tartare (includes oysters, hint of wasabi, and apples), and the Gourmand Carpaccio (includes foie gras and truffle oil). Both tartares were phenomenal--they were packed with flavor and had a nice flavor balance between the meat and the ingredients. Many tables around us were also ordering tartare and all seemed pleased. The carpaccio was also delicious, and I'd recommend that too.
For entrees, HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Magret de Canard (Duck)--it was the best I've ever had! Perfectly cooked so that the duck fat glazed over the meat, and very generous portion of two large cuts. Both the Bernaise sauce and Bordelaise sauce paired well with this dish. When I think of my trip to Nancy, that duck will be the first thing I think of.
This was a lovely meal with wonderful staff--I hope to return again! read more
