Did you know that almost every French establishment in the region has high chairs? Based on my experience in Paris I was convinced that the French had never heard of the invention.
At L'Amaréna we showed up without reservations into a totally packed room. The chef/owner came over and found a spot for us to sit close to his open kitchen which was great for seeing all of the delicious dishes being served. The menu is huge, and has all sorts of wild pizza items to select from (there's even an escargot pizza!). We went a more traditional route, and were thoroughly satisfied. Just wish that they'd use mozzarella instead of the emmenthal but that seems to be a trend here too.
The local rosé was crisp, delicious, and delightfully inexpensive.
Special mention for the homemade mousse au chocolat and the adorable historic place that the pizza place overlooks.
Make sure to reserve as the place is popular with the locals.
