Ben and Florentine in my mind is an up and coming breakfast chain. Cora is the local home grown…read moresuccess story of one Cora Tsouflidou who decided to provide some more artistic fresh fruit flair to breakfast. Cora's is across Canada now and 130+ restaurants. Ben and Florentine has roughly 30+ in the province of Quebec and I believe restaurants in Ontario now as well. My issue with Cora's however is it's easily a $15-$20 breakfast. B&F is similar so you must be cautious as you can easily rack up the bill. The menu selection is large. Everything you can think of from eggs, omelettes , skillets, pancakes, crepes and then some lunch items such as burgers, salads and sandwiches. Also a very solid kids menu. I much prefer this menu than to Cora's. On my visit I had a classic eggs Benedict. My wife had a chorizo omelette 2 eggs rather than the usual 3. My Benny was perfect with lots of hollandanise sauce. She really enjoyed her omelette. We had a buy one regular and get another breakfast 50% off coupon. Fantastic that two large breakfasts with a breakfast smoothie and my coffee with tip was just under $30 with 15% tip and tax with the coupon. Otherwise it would have been high $37-38. Service was fantastic and the restaurant is modern in decor and clean. We eat breakfast out infrequently as I believe I'd rather spend $30-40 on lunch rather than eggs and toast.

The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast and brunch dishes with some really delicious looking breakfasts. I tried their portobello mushroom burger with goat cheese, very filling and delicious. Sided with seasoned french fries and small coleslaw/salad. The service was excellent and friendly, a nice addition was that they have English menus available for is non-francophones. Overall a nice little spot with a few locations across Quebec and Ontario.

We were looking for a small charming place to stop by and eat on our way north to a day retreat…read more.. what we got was an different experience altogether. Le P'tit Coco is a medium sized breakfast place tucked in one of the many small outside malls in Mascouche. The place is spacious and roomy. We opted for a booth and it seemed fine until some really annoying loud overexcited patrons sat in the booth next to us and I realized it bounced and tilted due due to the poor quality of the booth seats as the patrons on the other side couldn't manage to sit still. The place was pretty busy with about 40 tables with half of them full.... with only 1 waitress to serve us all. So let me tell you what you'd expect from this... really lousy service but I'm unsure if it's due to her work or simply working twice as many tables as she should have. We got 1 refill of our coffee maybe after 45 minutes we were there and well after we eventually got our meals. You'd think when you serve us our meals we'd be topped off. Common sense. Right? That quick breakfast that we hoped ultimately went easily went over an hour for a very mediocre experience. At some point, I got fed up and got up to pay at the counter and rudely gestured if I can get out of this place. I do have other things to do after all. The meals themselves? Pretty average. I went with the Bagel BLT and while it was decent enough, it broke apart way too easily. The side potatoes and fruits were good, not great. The price-tag was decent. All in all, nothing special to see here, nothing to impress nor please to have me come back... one last suggestion? Please hire more staff before people permanently lose interest in this place.

Typical q Quebecois style diner, all the regular fair. But,…read morethey must be doing something different been - here since 1986. Breakfast menu fairly priced compared to other better known breakfast spots. Decor - don't come here for that - ever. Having Super "joe's" special breakfast club - and a regular eggs & bacon breakfast. Fast service - polite and smilely young waitress. (probably because I'm with my son) Food= Breakfast Club got and made it to the clean plate club. Poached eggs perfect, toast dark and perfect, crispy bacon perfect, too many potatoes but outsude crispy and centre soft perfect (not over seasoned - which is great because you can do that yourself) sausages - meh, coffee unlimited. An ok nice place - not going out of my way to get here though.

Quebec diner food serving pizza, subs, smoked meat, burgers, sandwiches and breakfast. I have had…read morethe pizza and tested one of their subs. Pizza I found okay, but to be honest I feel I can cook better tasting pizza at home. Not to sound pretentious but I wasn't amazed. It was somewhat ordinary and toppings were not overly generous. Plus the dough was a bit more doughy that I had preferred. Next I had tried their subs. The main one that comes with pepperoni (all dressed) was better than the pizza but not amazing. I'm sure I could find something on their menu that I would like but from what I've tried I wasn't wowed. Maybe I'll give them another chance as they are not far from my house but overall the experience has been somewhat ordinary and less memorable for this cowboy.
