What is there to say about butchers? They sell meat. Being sourced locally, it was better than from the supermarket, with the bonus of friendly staff.
The range at Reeds was better than nearby rival 'The Family Butcher'. If we don't support our local butchers, then presumably one day all our meat will come from China or maybe the moon or some sort of sci-fi factory where wood pulp goes in and meat comes out.
So if you are buying meat in Braunton, the only reason not to go to Reeds might be the burgers, which seemed much better at the competition. In fact, so good were they from 'The Family Butcher' that I half expected to be offered them furtively from under the counter as a 'special' for 'local people' only.
