There are souvenir stores down the road charging almost the same $$ for much lesser quality accessories that are clearly not handmade. The store is very clean and brightly lit and I particularly enjoy that each artist has a section with some cards you can take that have their information on it. If you are traveling into the city, be sure to support the local artists!!

I missed out on buying some of these stunning and unique fabric tablecloths and linens while a student living in Provence many years ago... so I made up for it in this shop... now, years later. I chose the tablecloths with a coating that you just wipe off and launder only once in a blue moon. LOVE THEM and this store! The classic Provencal designs AND made in France... what more could you want :)

La Malle Aux Souvenirs is loosely translated as "The Trunk of Memories." It is an apt name, as the things you will buy here are not trinkets, but memories. In other words, high quality. If you want high-quality local condiments, jams, and vinegars, you'll find the best of Délices de l'Ile D'Orléans products on La Malle Aux Souvenirs' shelves. Essentially translated, "Delights of Orleans Island" brings the vibe and flavor of the isle that hugs Quebec City. Savonnerie des Diligences, the Austin, Québec soap-maker with the beautiful scents and dynamic illustrations on their packaging can be found at La Malle Aux Souvenirs in abundance.
