She then got her husband and together they literally kicked us out while continuing their racist rant. The female host was by far the rudest and most small-minded woman we've ever encountered. She obviously only wants to host French people; never ever have we been shouted at in a restaurant by the staff. Having grown up near the French border, my family and I used to come to this restaurant every few years but now we will never be back. On to the positive -- we received a recommendation from friendly locals on the parking lot (who overheard our conversation as we walked out) who recommended we go to La Marie Galante instead. We were lucky enough to score the last table and are so glad that we ended up there. The staff at La Marie Galante was beyond friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and the seafood was excellent. Fun fact -- when we walked by La Sirene later that day, the restaurant was still not full (no surprise..) PS - Writing this review in English in the hope that no other non-French tourist has to go through this terrible experience.
