God, I love this place. The aperitif maison (violet liqueur + prosecco), which was sweet and…read moredelicious, served very cold, is a must-try to open the meal. I loved the chateaubriand, which was cooked exactly as I asked for, very very rare with a nicely seared exterior. The slightly surly waitress, who delivers efficient service with no extraneous chitchat, is a perfect fit for such an old-school place. It's been closed for a month due to summer vacation, but I can't wait to get back there as soon as it reopens (this week!). Good for a date, dinner with friends/family, or any type of group.
EDIT: went back this week and had the escargot again. Forgot to mention how wonderful they are, and also that the bread at the table is served with a dope shallot aioli.
