From the outside, it looks like nothing special, but what a pleasant surprise as soon as the affable owner opened the door. There are only 3 massive sized guest rooms, each decorated uniquely different and all stunning. There's a coffee bar with tea and a Nespresso machine (that alone won beaucoup brownie points with me)-and the location was perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. Not to mention the delicious breakfast and reasonable price. I'd come back to Bordeaux just to stay longer in this comfy retreat.

He welcomed my husband and I with open arms and a bottle of Cognac. Before we settled into our room he talked with us and we got to know each other for a few minutes. He also gave us a map of the city and pointed out some good restaurants, places we needed to see, and stores we needed to shop in. He was extremely helpful and we were grateful for all the pointers because being in a foreign country can be a little confusing, so the fact that he takes time to "show you around" without actually going with you was awesome. We never went outside to enjoy breakfast with everyone else but Sebastian was so kind, he actually arranged breakfast for my husband and I so we could have breakfast in bed. I would totally recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone who reads this review. Oh, and did I mention it was a great walking distance to pretty much everything? Huge plus.

The beds were dreamy, and the blackout shades made it so easy to get good sleep. Guillaume is the best host--so welcoming and full of great local tips that really helped us enjoy Bordeaux like locals. Breakfast was a highlight every morning, especially since he let us pick which pastries we wanted from the bakery (such a nice touch!). If you're looking for a cozy, authentic place to stay in Bordeaux, this is it. We honestly felt like we were leaving a friend behind when we checked out, and we can't wait to come back!

They were gracious enough to hold our baggage since we got there too early for check-in. Either way they made us feel at home and gave us tips on where we can go. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is located close to public transportation or if you are a walker like I am, it is walkable to many places throughout the area. So, if you want to stay at a place that is personable and that the owner and staff takes time to get to know you, provide tips, and works hard to make your stay exceptional, then this is the place to go.

Room was reasonably sized and had a few quirks often found in European hotels.. toilet room on one side of the room and the tub and sink room on the other side of our room. We liked the roof top bar and the morning breakfast buffet. Would absolutely stay here again.
