Smart people know their strengths, but happy people are the ones who have accepted their flaws…read more That was the fortune cookie I got at the end of the meal, and is available in French, Dutch, and German. Very inspiring. I don't know if this place is too English friendly since I wanted to try this place on my own and used mostly French. Their menu is all in French if that is any indicator, but the most you would probably need to know is boeuf is beef, poulet is chicken, and crevette is shrimp, which is basically their proteins for a variety of their plates. You are started off with those puffy round shrimp chips as you wait for your meal. I also had a rouleau printemp, which is a spring roll. I was fooled into thinking that there would be two based on the picture, but I only got one. To me, it wasn't that great since it was a little hard from refrigeration, so I can tell it was pre-rolled and not freshly rolled. The fish sauce that came with it was good though and I enjoyed it as a Vietnamese person. The main dish I had was the wok gourmand, which is basically a mountain, and I mean a mountain of noodles. You would not be able to climb this mountain on your own if you tried unless you are ready to down a whole bowl of noodles into a food coma. The dish also comes with the basic vegetables of bean sprouts, mushrooms, and what I believe to be zucchinis, all stir fried. The proteins of the dish were beef, chicken, and shrimps, which they gave a good portion of and were extremely delicious. You can actually taste the actual favors of the beef, chicken, and shrimp. The overall dish itself was too savory for me since there was not enough veggies to contrast the taste of the noodles, which I believe might had used shrimp paste as the main seasoning. In terms of spices, there wasn't any and I would rate the dish as white person spicy. There was no kick to it for a Thai place. This is actually one of the few Asian cuisine I found in my area so it wasn't too bad if you are looking for Asian food with some of that cock sauce (sriracha, had to look that up since I forgot what it was called in English). They actually had chopsticks here, which is a great break from the common knife and fork, cut, stab, dining experience. What really impressed me is that the take out box is sealed in a box that is similar to one of those dinner TV containers so it is microwavable and ready to eat. This blew my mind since in America, the Asian take out boxes are in Styrofoam boxes that can melt in your microwave.
