I am a long-time client of Annie's at L'Auberge. Without a doubt, she is one of the best colorists in the business. My hair looks as shiny and healthy and sun-kissed as it did when I was young. I went in with blonde highlights and after a routine touch up and a toner for my highlights to be a little warmer blonde I have orange hair!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to L'auberge yesterday for a no-chip manicure and it may just be the best no chip I've ever had. The salon is a bit hidden and it seemed like no one was inside from the outside. When I went in though, it was hustling and bustling. One interesting thing about the hair salon portion of L'auberge is that each hair station is divided with walls. Half the appeal of going to a hair salon is shooting the breeze with the others in the salon. But then it's also nice to have some privacy. Olga did my no chip and was a very kind lady. She spent a lot of time on my manicure and making sure everything was just right. I really appreciated the time she took on my nails. I picked a pretty dark gray color and so far it's still looking so fresh & so clean. I'll update in a couple weeks on the longevity. read more

I have been a customer here for many years. I have never had an experience that was less than superb. Even when Covid began and I was unable to get a cut for 5 months my hair grew out without losing it's style because it was cut so well to begin with. I feel very comfortable now returning because of all the Covid precautions in place. I requested to have my services done outdoor out of an abundance of caution. The owner Annie, who is my regular stylist, was happy to respond to my request. She had a sanitized chair set up under an awning that was secluded from the public.I was the only person in the area. The 2 stylists Michelle and Rosaria traveled to The WIT hotel in Chicago in order to make the day a dream for my daughter. I LOVE my new look. Like most people these days, my hair was grown out and I needed a cut bad. But I don't like to get my hair cut because I can't decide on a cut or trust myself to pick one that would look good on me. This is quite a hike for me, but it's well worth it to have Heather do my hair. The color that is used at this salon always turns out so much better than everywhere else I have been (and I have tried my fair share of salons). Heather is fun to talk to, and knows her way around with a little saran wrap (she doesn't use foils, which I am so grateful for!) She is also fantastic with haircuts. I don't cut my hair often, but she always does a beautiful job. My husband also loves her haircuts! The salon isn't huge, but I like the privacy of each separate station. I used the Living Social coupon for a no chip manicure. When I called to schedule, no one answered for weeks. Finally when I was able to get someone on the phone there were no openings for 2 months. I booked mine and arrived 2 months later. The place was empty. I used the credit to do a pedicure instead. The pedicure is a Homedics foot bath. The bubbles were up to my knees. The service was good but it was an uncomfortable silence since no one else was there and there was no music. When I was done I tried to pay by credit card and she said the machines and music were all closed up for the night so I had to pay by cash. I barely had enough to pay for the service and it only affected her tip in the end. Horrible experience! read more

I have been a client for over 20 years and have always spoken highly of the salon, but felt compelled to highlight a person who has been there from the beginning, and is truly a hidden gem in this spa. This location may not be widely known for their facial and massage services but in Maura, they truly have a person with a special gift for not only giving a truly wonderful massage but with her massage abilities, gives facials that are like no other. The massage/facial I received on my face was unbelievably gentle yet firm, it was soothing, meditative and serene. Maura studies yoga, reads constantly on her craft and gives gentle coaching and tips on what she is doing so you can continue to feel wonderful long after you leave. Maura always makes me feel special, she is quick to smile and truly loves what she does. Anyone who has not had the opportunity to have Mauras wonderful hands work on a sore spot on your back, neck or shoulders should see her.
