Pittsabana's team is all of this and more! From the first call to receive a free estimate through to completion, Maria, Ivan and the Pittsabana team were a pure delight to work with. Their knowledgeable and professional service made the potential headache of major home repairs dissolve. I initially contracted Pitttsabana to remove the ineffective box gutters from my 1900 home that had been poorly repaired in what some might call a 'fix and flip'. I called for the estimate on a Friday of a holiday weekend and Ivan showed up first thing Monday morning to take drone imaging of the gutters in order to provide the most accurate estimate. I was provided two estimates: one to repair the existing box gutters and another to remove them and install a seamless aluminum gutter system. In the end, I chose the second. However, upon removing the box gutters, Ivan' team gained access to the attic for the first time as I have no internal access and discovered considerable water damage, NO Insulation, and shingles slapped on top of other shingles to hide the actual state of the roof!! (No wonder my gas/electric bills were so high!) Ivan contacted me immediately with images and knowledge of how to go about fixing the roof, and again I was provided with multiple options to choose from. Ivan was willing to come to the house and patiently walk me through my options, explaining the differences between the plans, as much of this was new to me. This allowed me to pick the plan that best fit both my aesthetic and my budget! Ivan's team arrived early every day, worked diligently, and adapted their work schedule to meet the needs of my family (ending earlier than they otherwise would have one day). They thoroughly cleaned the area every day to ensure that my yard was safe for my dogs. AND they went above and beyond, fixing some 'poorly flipped' items they discovered along the way! Each unit being individually owned without a coop gives each homeowner liberty to do what they like. The downside is when we share a common roof and everyone decides for themselves about replacement. That being said I contacted at least a dozen companies last fall for a roof replacement only to be turned down since my unit sits in the middle of the complex. Of the few that agreed to work with me only Prescott gave me and my adjoining neighbors peace of mind by agreeing to work in the "transition areas" and extending their 15 year warranty to those areas so that the neighbors would approve the work. I also checked their references and got good reports from the people I spoke to. I highly recommend anyone considering a business to ask for and check their references. My roof was nearing the end of it's life and to avoid any potential water damage I was able to contract with them last fall for this year's project. Prescott roofing offers financing but if you pay by check you get 2% discount. With the trend of roofs now going to dimensional shingles I figured my 3 tab shingles up there weren't long for this world. The quote seemed high but the other few I did receive were higher than theirs especially for 3 tab shingles. With a few "hiccups" along the way my roofing team finally came out to do the job on a very hot summer day. I was very pleased with their honesty about the decking when they said didn't need replaced. That decking has been up there for many years and I was extremely concerned about the area around the ridge vent. They arranged for a dumpster to be placed on my driveway so that they could remove the debris. I was able to watch them through the install process and they answered all my questions and concerns. Since my townhouse is small they were able to complete the whole project in one day. I'm very pleased with the work they did as well as the clean up to make sure nothing got left and nothing fell into a neighbor's property. I'm very glad that they were able to "separate" my unit by installing ridge cap shingles after putting an water and ice guard shield both in the transition areas as well as the gutter lines. The workmanship is guaranteed for 15 years and they will register the shingles with the manufacturer and they in turn will send me my warranty. A new roofing system is a major investment but for me I wanted to make sure I was getting quality work for the amount of money put in. Time will tell about the new roof and how it stands up. This review will be updated to reflect that if need be but I feel confident that with them team working in near 100 degree heat that tar just immediately stuck to the new felt pad installed. So the shingles needed to be applied carefully. I'm very pleased with the work they did and more importantly to see it done properly.
