In hindsight sight I'm sure AMERICAN HOME SHIELD was unhappy about replacing my furnace but not without tacking on a $1000 charge for a vent. It was getting cold and I was in no position to argue. Greenway was called to service my AC very recently. My unit is 23 years old. Full disclosure, 23 years ago my dog urinated on the unit causing visible damage. Obviously since I did everything I could to mitigate that damage, the unit continued to serve me well for over 20 years. First thing Greenway did was photograph and document the damage. Causing AMERICAN HOME SHIELD to deny my claim. I promptly called AMERICAN HOME SHIELD to attempt to reason with them. They blamed it on Greenway. I called Greenway and they blamed it on AMERICAN HOME SHIELD. I'm a senior citizen. I will not be taken advantage of by those crooks at AMERICAN HOME SHIELD. I have since fired both AMERICAN HOME SHIELD(seniors don't waste your money) and Greenway PHC. I want to say I stand by my last review of Greenway. Called Weaver around 6:45 am and spoke with a nice lady handling after hours calls. I explained to her the situation and she said they open at 7:30 am and they'd have someone out by late morning and she's call ahead to let us know when tech was on the way. The good news is she said our furnace was still under warranty, but we'd have to pay for labor. We received a call at 8:35 and she said their tech would be at our house by 9:00 am. Rick arrived just shy of 9:00 am, introduced himself, and said "let's get you some heat." I showed him to the furnace and he quickly diagnosed the problem: a seized up inducer motor. Not having one on his truck, he quickly drove to their parts warehouse and returned about a half hour later. He went the extra mile and performed some routine maintenance work on the furnace and replaced the motor. The furnace fired right up and he was out the door by 10:15 am. We chatted a little while he was performing the work. He was very professional, confident, upbeat and courteous. He took pride in his work, which is refreshing in today's world. Hold on to him and pay him accordingly! He's a major asset to the company. We've used Weaver the past 20 years and they've never disappointed. Marshall, the owner has a nice business.
