I haven't found a single radio…read morestation that checks all of the boxes like RP does: 1) focused on music, not talk 2) commercial free 3) free 4) plays a mix of music eclectic enough to keep me interested. it's not perfect, and in the day of algo driven music stations it may be the last of it's kind, but it's as good as radio has ever been IMO.

Then corporate pre-recorded rock stations to go over in the '80s and destroyed the freedom of expression that DJs were known for. I love Chico and I moved here last month but now I really really love Chico! And the last week I've heard music I haven't heard in decades on the station. Keep up the good vibes. Since October I have been in a lot of pain. I have never listened to any music to sleep. I am normally much too sensitive for that. If I hear a sad song I wake up, (I have always been this way! ) If I hear an upbeat song I wake up and want to dance, it's in my blood. I was born a dancer. There are no inspirational or easy listening or classical stations I can listen to when I sleep. For the past few decades I have used an air purifier and white noise machine that I sleep to. It is hard for me as a city girl to sleep in total quiet but I can't usually sleep to music, just white noise. This is one of the main radio stations I sleep to. (I don't speak or understand Hawaiian) only a few Pigeon words (slang). But the thing about Hawaiian music is even though I am not sure what they are saying , it always sounds happy and soothing. I do not know any other form of music with that combination of happy and soothing. Usually music is one or the other. The motto of Hawaiian Rainbow is "a Tropical vacation for your ears." I know a lot of stressed out New Yorkers can use this which is why I am posting. Hawaiian Rainbow is commercial free, listener supported and there are no commercials to wake me up! The announcers voice is so soothing. As soon as I hear him say Aloha you are listening to listener supported Hawaiian Rainbow________________zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
