The first thing you should be aware of is that Tactical Mixed Martial Arts is truly the type of…read moresmall family business that politicians just love to gush about. There's Tony, his wife Jennifer and their two kids, Jasmyn and Destiny, (OK, young adults) running the place and doing an excellent job at it! I started here about two years ago after wanting to get in better physical shape for Krav Maga lessons at another school, and business owners take note, I saw an advertisement at the Spring Hill Mall advertising Tactical MMA's 90-Day Kettle Bell challenge. Fans of Tim Ferriss already know about the impressive weight loss and muscle gain when just practicing with kettlebells, so I really didn't need any convincing, I signed up for the class and have slowly have been toning my body while gaining muscle mass. Tony, Jennifer, Jasmyn and yes, Destiny truly care to see their students perform to the best of their abilities. I've been training for ruck marches, a planned Goruck Tough in September and between starting a small security start-up and the extra workouts and rucks with 30-50lbs of weight I've added outside of working out at Tactical Mixed Martial Arts, there is never a negative word spoken, its an extremely friendly, positive training academy with life-affirming words to keep you working out, even if you find some of the workouts too much. Recently I've started taking their Cardio MMA class, which is three nights a week of a high-intensity circuit workout that I generally attend two and have added a weighted vest to add some variety to my workouts. Please don't let the name scare you, everyone attending kettlebells and the Cardio MMA classes are friendly, and like Tony and Jennifer, want to see you succeed with your physical fitness goals and have a good time doing it. The only complaint I have (Its a small one!) is the music sometimes gets a little repetitive, but they have been soliciting others for more music to add to the rotation. Definitely consider Tactical Mixed Martial Arts if you are looking to make a real change in your life when it comes to your workouts!

This gym is amazing! Such a great atmosphere and people. I've been doing the cardio MMA classes and…read morethe class is challenging but fun!

When choosing a martial arts studio, I believe you should focus on the school's Master. Their…read morephilosophies are carried through their instructors and are reflected in all levels of the education. Master Eric has been in martial arts for 20+ years. He is also a former student and instructor under Grand Master Tae En Ha. I have trained under him for some time. He focuses on developing one's mind, body, spirit. He believes the gym is a safe environment to learn, develop, and (yes) make mistakes (to learn from). He fosters the philosophy of having students treat the gym as a community. A community where we all help each other to grow and develop both physically, mentally, and emotionally. He genuinely cares about the students and their growth as they progress through their training. Personally, I wouldn't look at any other school.

These skills were developed thanks to Sensei O'Hara and the coaches who truly invest themselves in the training process. I also attend fitness classes here, and this place is the best for me. Our instructors are very professional and maintain a personal approach, even when we work in groups. The groups are not large and are very diverse in both gender and age. My husband says that I always return from classes happier and in a better mood. Personally, I feel much better physically and emotionally thanks to Focus Fitness. Do I recommend this place? Yes! Yes! A million times yes!

I don't need to get into details regarding my son other than he was excluded from participating and nothing was adjusted for his specific needs. If any parent has questions please reach out to me as this might have changed. I just know that of all the life experiences in my son's life he had never felt more excluded. If we were the voice of the voiceless and the change followed I can live with that Katie. We weren't waitlisted as we are in district. I found it ironic that once my review was posted 10 positive reviews came out. I'm sure that will happen here again. Please don't ask me to reach out- as unFOCUSed and NISRA both have my contact info. YOU can reach out to me.
