I recently received my annual homeowners renewal notice and decided now would be a good time to shop around. Especially since they were increasing my premium- not a huge increase but nonetheless an increase and like everyone I want to be smart with my money. I decided to call an independent agency as they will do all the leg work for you, compare companies and find the best coverage for your situation. I called Philleo Agency Insurance in Brookfield and what a stroke of luck that was! Jenna Starr took my call and listened to what I needed. She asked me many detailed questions about my home and current coverage. Then she asked me to send over my current insurance company's declaration of coverage so that she could do a thorough comparison. After 3 days Jenna called me and was excited to tell Me she found me some great coverage, for BOTH my home and car, much more than I currently had and for less money. She emailed me The paperwork so we could review it. Then a few days later we met in her office and went over all the coverage and numbers. I was amazed at the increase in coverage including a one million dollar umbrella policy and it cost me much less- Than I was currently paying. The company I am now with is A+ rated too. Philleo is a small agency and I like the fact that they actually have an office that I can walk into and talk to my agent. I also like that when I call a human picks up the phone- none of this "press 1 if you want blah blah blah..." sometime I just want to talk to a person! They truly know the meaning of customer service. The personal touch was evident in all our conversations. You are not in good hands with Allstate! If I could leave no…read morestars I would. ALLSTATE is by far the worst insurance company when it comes to claims. I have many situations were we had issues. Here is one. When we purchased our home in 2013, against our family and friend recommendations, we chose to go with Allstate.. After being with them for 10 years, we had to file a claim on our homeowners insurance. We got nothing but the run around. It started with our agents office initiating the claim incorrect that caused the claims department to immediately deny the claim. We had to cancel that claim and reinitiate a new claim. Then we got the typical Allstate garbage of it is covered, it is not covered, it is covered, it is not covered. This went on for months before we finally told our agent this was BS and we were not going to renew our policy. He responded the same response as he did every year when there were issues with our renewal to go just leave Allstate and get insurance elsewhere. So we did. Since then we have continued to battle them on the claim. We have filed complaints with the BBB and Allstate tells them it is resolved so they close the complaint. They still haven't resolved anything. In fact the BBB staff are now recommending we take legal actions against ALLSTATE. Pretty bad....
