If there is one thing I appreciate in working with professionals, it's those that are detail oriented and prepared--Jen is both! I didn't have to worry one bit. Rain or shine, I knew my pictures were going to look amazing. It's not every day that you meet a photographer as prepared and professional enough to have galoshes and 10 black umbrellas in their car just in case of rain. She even brings her own lighting if need be. What I especially love is how organized she was about the wedding timeline. Snap snap snap, a few jokes to get great laughs and beautiful smiles, and then move on to the next set! There is no dilly-dally going on but it all felt very natural. She gets the shot and moves on to another beautiful pose. This made it especially wonderful for the family shots. We lined up, added and subtracted people--and snap snap snap--we were done! We were able to enjoy most of our cocktail hour and appetizers because of it! AMAZING. Okay, so lets talk about her personality. She is so cool! Easy going, makes you feel good behind the camera. You can tell that she enjoys everyone's unique personalities and she knows how to make that come out in her pictures. Jen even took extra pictures of us during our reception even though she wasn't being paid for that part of the wedding. She captured some great speech moments and tears. I am so grateful to have met such a cool artist--and advocate for people, creativity, uniqueness and just a good person! The venue and property was absolutely perfect. We had the wedding ceremony and reception that I had…read morealways imagined. The issue that came up is something that I have had to take a few weeks to fully process and I only leave this post as a way to give feedback to the owners and prevent what happened to us happening to others. The owners were very helpful in that they moved chairs for the ceremony and set up the tables and chairs for the reception, they graciously allowed us to rent some of their gorgeous decorations which we so appreciated. The wedding ended at 10:30pm as was their policy. We rented the house out for the weekend and so after the wedding we we're planning on having a bonfire and enjoying our night. The owner came up to me (Katy) and was very upset and demeaning. She called my wedding party degenerates and condescendingly told me that they were trying to take the keg that we had paid for to the bonfire to enjoy for the after party but that this was against their policy (reviewing their policy this is not written anywhere in it). I tried to have a conversation with her to apologize and ask what she would like us to do and she escalated things very quickly - raising her voice, calling my husband a "spoiled brat." I started to cry and she told me "tears will get you no where, honey." I told the other employee some of the things she had said to us and she gaslight me saying that I was misconstruing her words and I was just "too drunk to remember." I had a few drinks at my own wedding but was no where in a state of mind where I can't remember everything she said to us that night. I had to end the conversation saying we would talk in the morning because she continued to get more and more angry, and we were equally upset with what had occurred. I have never had an experience quite so unprofessional and had an interaction with someone who was so unreasonable and just down right mean. My feedback is that this venue become a dry venue because they clearly have issue with this type of celebration (and maybe an anger management class). The issue that I think she was missing was that it was not that we couldn't drink after the bar closed (even though as I said above this was never said prior), it was how she spoke to us and handled the situation. I truly hope this never happens again to anyone else.

After our newborn photoshoot I wanted to take some time and make sure I write a review about how AMAZING the experience was. Our baby was only 8 days old and Jordan was an expert with baby whispering abilities. The gentle and sweet care she took when she handled our son was unreal. Just had my senior pictures taken here and it was great! Julie is a friend of a friends and she did…read morea great job! I've never been photographed before and she was able to make it not awkward. She also didn't make it feel rushed, and was accommodating to some of our requests. She even took a few shots of me and my friends! We will be coming back next year when my brother needs his senior photos! It's also not overly priced and prints are including. I got the collection package and used 4 different outfits some were dressy others were casual, I also brought some vintage suitcases for props which she used and Im so glad we were able to use them! I haven't seen my proofs yet but the shoot itself was great! Ill post more when I see the photos! But love this place and its right in Delafield which is great!
