From engagement photos, to timeline, to props, posing ideas, and everything else in between, she was on. the. ball. She gave such great ideas and listened to ours and truly made our entire wedding (not just photos) vision come to life! Her communication with me leading up to the wedding made me feel more than comfortable going into our big day! No stress! I had a pretty rowdy crew of a bridal party and her and her hubby (HEY GABE) brought their A game along with a lot of patience, which I know they needed after our party bus! Fun fact: we forgot the rings at our hotel on our way to our ceremony and Gabe went back and got them for us so if you're lucky enough to have Gabe at your wedding, IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. We literally wouldn't have been able to get married without him. Just don't do what we did.....lol We received our photos in more than a timely manner, especially since October was such a busy month for Erin! I've been waiting and waiting to print off our favorites for when we move into our house in June and I cannot wait to do so! Print your photos, people! Kristen had us pay her in full ($400) after the photo session which took place on September 1st 2014 and to date after 9 months, we have not received the prints despite several reminders. First few times she responded in delayed fashion promising she would deliver(and this was now December already). The prints never got delivered, neither were my emails or phone calls returned. As a photographer, I believe she is just average. I do not think I could rate someone's work high if she makes my beautiful child look less than what she is in reality. A friend of mine up in Iowa suggested I contact HER photographer friend who she'd used on numerous occassions to see what her price would be. I did (not thinking she'd be in the least bit inclined to travel to Texas for a wedding) and got quite a shock! Even WITH a flight and a hotel room for her to come here, stay in Houston for the wedding, and shoot my wedding from beginning to end, my rehearsal dinner the night before AND engagement pics we STILL came in under the price that the first photographer was going to charge! On our way to the Engagement shoot I wasn't sure what to expect cause my other half and his family HATE having their picture taken, but Sarah made the shoot not only easy, but such fun that he couldn't wait to work with her again. Before the rehearsal dinner I'd prepared her for the inlaws to be unreceptive to pictures but she managed to even put them at ease. Sarah manages to bring out the best in people, she has such a kind, reassuring, fun personality and imagination that makes you willing to go that extra mile for pictures (for example, sitting on a golf course in your wedding dress!) that will not only look phenomenal but will also capture the moment, the sentiment and the memories all at the same time.
